My friend at work is going to give me a gig of ram. As for that card. its' PCI express.. Won't work.

yeah. I know. I can play HL2 fine and CS:S with NO issues at all. solid 30-40 FPS. I installed the orange box and Episode 1, 2 and TF2 sucks worse then Jones does. it doesn't make sense. And even if I turn everything to low or off, it still does it. It's still shitty. Even going to 800x600 gives the same problems.

84 Cavalier baby. Paid $500 bucks for it. Wrecked it 3 months later and got it fixed and painted for a grand (other persons insurance paid for it). Then I sold it for $2200.

I'm not upgrading the PC to play a game.. I'm done with that. I'll just upgrade the video card for now. Anyways.. it's an AMD 3200 (2.1 mhz). 1 gig of ram. basic crap.

Can someone recommend a good video card (AGP) to use on this shit? My Nvidia 6600 (256mb) worked f'n great on CS:S, but not matter what I do I'm still getting single digit FPS in Episode 1, 2 and TF2. I'd like to stay as far below from $100 as I can if possible. Or does anyone have a used card they're selling that'll work good with HL2?

Yep.. $400+ is way out of my price range too. i was looking at something around $100. Hell, it would only be started from the house about 15 feet from the house to the car.

interesting. I thought about putting one on my wife's car . How much do they run? $100? less? Is there a way I can shove a midget under the hood and when I tell him to start it up in the morning he'll warm up the car?

I forgot. I'm on my laptop now. TFC2 kinda sucks right now. I'm seeing 17-20 FPS and the shit is laggy. I got 1 gig of ram, 256 mb card (can't remember which one, but it does CS:S well) and an AMD 3200. Should I dump some more memory in it? I REALLY do NOT want to upgrade much on this PC. So a a new CPU/processor is out. Probably along with a video card as well.

That was the deal Joe setup with me earlier this year . I WAS paying $120 a month w/o the phone. Then tack on another $50 from ATT for the phone and that's $170 a month. I am saving money now though. I also have HBO as well. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I have the Digital DVR, 2 other Digital boxes, 6 mb net, and the phone (all of it.. Voice mail, etc) and I'm at $135.
