This still happening?

My WOW HD DVR is slower than balls and my internet cuts out at random times (more at night). I've had 5 techs out and the last one who came out said I should replace my router to see if that fixes the issue. I haven't done it yet. It's and old linksys G router. I'll get to it eventually.

Update. the trans has been pulled apart and all pieces inspected. The torque converter is what blew. All the clutches are perfectly fine. Not much wear at all. There are a few parts that need replaced, but none are the gears, clutch packs or anything. The trans isn't toast. Just needs $200 in parts and it's a $2500 trans. Needs a input sun gear, and a reaction shel and a new Differential.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm guessing it's for people who normally don't smoke to get that first "buzz/high" from when I first started smoking back in 7th grade lol.

That was my first thought. So you would suggest just buying two new turbo's? I hear ya.. the guy was just trying to avoid that. I guess new turbo's are around $1700 and to rebuid is half of that. Unless you have a better option Jeff I can give him your number and have him call you folks. Pretty much from what I understand. The motor is already out of the car getting rebuilt and the guy rebuilding it said the turbo's need replaced.

My brother just called and a guy he works with has a '94 300ZX and I guess needs the turbo's rebuild. I guess new turbo's are 1700 each and rebuilding them is half the cost. I don't have any other details other than that. The turbo's are off the car. Is there anyone locally who does them and is good at it? Anyone you can recommend?

What happens when a torque converter starts going bad? This one was squealing after 20-30 minutes of driving. Does it send black stuff through the trans? I pulled the GTP's trans and it looks like 10w-30 motor oil. No chunks or anything in the pan. Should I be worried about this or just throw a filter and some new fluid? And no.. it doesn't smell burnt.
