  2. Never been but I've heard some great stuff about the mountains (hiking) and mountain biking there. I'd really like to go sometime just for those reasons. Something to look into for while you are there and not humping like rabbits. I likely know multiple people that have been just for that purpose (the mountains). I will see some of the likely suspects this Sunday. I can ask around where to go if you are interested. Hopefully Eric will chime in, I'm sure he's read up on it. http://www.fincacolibri.com/images/chirripo.jpg
  3. We were heading down to key west once and this jack ass towing a boat was passing people like it was his job but his actual job was to tow that boat safely. Guy worked for a marina and was transporting a brand new boat. Its almost all two lane highway down there and there is a lot of traffic. Not the place to be driving like that regardless of what you are driving. Once he was a few cars ahead of us he jack-knifed the trailer. The boat flew off of the trailer and slid down the middle of the road. Definitely one of the crazier wrecks I've ever seen.

  7. And this whole time I thought nuke was short for nuclear weapon. I guess now it also means legalizing drugs. Now I know and knowing is half of the battle!

  9. That place may only be slightly less expensive than Ruth Chris. Katzingers is definitely cool. North Star is another one. The one in Clintonville has a new Jeni's right next to it.
  10. VW was the first automaker to win the DARPA Grand Challenge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DARPA_Grand_Challenge#2005_Grand_Challenge
  11. Was trying to find the Tiger fist pumping gif, but this is funnier. http://youritlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/draft_lens1513858module8197113photo_TigerWoods_Fist_Pump1.jpg
  12. That big jump they keep showing in slow mo from the Red Bull Rampage video is just insane. Those bikes probably all have 8-10" of travel and the guys are using all of the range of motion of their bodies as 'suspension' that they can and it's still not enough. Bikes are bottoming out left and right.
  13. Nothing nearly that insane. I'm a novice at best and I can ride (poorly) everything there. None the less it's a very cool place and it's huge, something like 90k sqft. A pretty cool break during the winter. It's in Cleveland, Rays MTB. http://www.raysmtb.com/
  14. I'm going to go to Byers and buy some good milled flour.

  16. Tim, thanks for the info, I've always been intrigued. I'll be digging around on avsforum.com when I think about getting more serious about it. Some company just announced 'the worlds first' 2.35:1 native projector. Things should get interesting in the next few years. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1275527
  17. I'd love to know the details on the projector setup? I'm pretty interested in this type of setup for whenever we get a house.
  18. I was going to say make sure you have a reasonable amount of space for everything. With all of those game systems you'll need something bigger than your typical entertainment center. If you try to put too many electronics in too small of an area you will fight with cable management every time.
  19. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82211 http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/4317/gedc0388.jpg All of the visible wires are in that black looming now that someone else mentioned. I'm sure there are other places to get around town or maybe cheaper online, but I got it at Micro Center. You can get a lot of different little connectors there too, like every 90 degree hdmi connector to help route the cables. If you own a house run the wires through the walls and get wall plates from Micro Center or http://www.monoprice.com For behind the a/v stuff, put everything in there 1 by 1 and run the wires. Wrap the wires up and hold them together with something. I use simple wire ties, like you get with trash bags or on bread bags. Very easy to use and reuse. Be methodic and slow with this process and it will help. You can get some 'exact' length (by the foot) cables from these websites to help cut down on the wire clutter. http://www.tartancable.com/ http://www.bluejeanscable.com/ Tartan is their less expensive but still very well made line. Owned in the USA, all HDMI cables terminated in the US and probably the only place that makes HDMI cables in the US. All but 1 of their HDMI cable lines is made in the US.
  20. While in the glades in VT I flew into a tree and broke a rib, hence the picture Howard posted. Howard is from WV so he wears his hunting gear when he snowboards. No kidding, I'm still laughing about the neon orange hat.
  21. I agree with Mudflaps, get some. http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/3967/dscf08962dl5.jpg

  23. Well... that kind of makes sense. If you had said "Monkey lies! That's what make us human." I would have been really confused.
  24. Jay Peak. AFAIK he always stays with family up there. I've only been up with him once, but we stayed with his family.
  25. Try Linworth Lumber, my uncle get's most of his big stuff (i.e. plywood for non-finish surfaces, studs).
