  1. And what exactly is more of a sleeper than a tiny little 4 door family k-car? tongue.gif
  2. That was my old Laser, the turbo David had a while ago was the turbo that came off that car. And I wanna get a Dodge Spirit R/T smile.gif
  3. Hey, I have a question...Me and Aaron were arguing about a few things over AIM and he suggested I post it here because I was wrong, so I just wanna make sure I've got my facts straight. He says that non-Ecotec Cavaliers have pushrods, I say they don't, but from what I know, they have OHC engines, and OHC engines don't have pushrods. Is this correct? If they DO have them, where are they and how exactly do that work if it's an OHC car? Also, he says the new Ecotecs don't use spark plugs. This sounds like BS to me, I disagreed, but then again, I don't know much about these newfangled gizmos that cars have nowadays, so gimme a break. I really don't see how a car is supposed to run without spark plugs/glow plugs (for diesel engines, obviously), but he insists that they don't use them. What's up with them, and if they really don't have spark plugs, what the hell DO they have?
  4. My 280Z USED to have the same problem, only not quite as bad. What did I do? 20W-50 and a can of Restore...No smoke and doesn't burn any oil Oh, I wouldn't trust this for the longevity of the car, only temporary until you know what's up, but it's worked for me and a few other people I know.

  6. If I remember correctly, I believe that if exhaust and flames are coming from your carb, the timing is waaaay too far advanced. I don't like to say I know these things for sure, but that sounds alot like what's going on to me. Firing before the intake valves close, thus going through the heads, into the intake manifold, and out though the carb. Maybe try retarding the timing and working from there?
  7. I already talked to you on AIM about it, but I felt like being a postwhore :-D If you need help, I'll be here all day. Send me a message on AIM and I can help you out. I even have the garage door open FINALLY. Wasn't as hard as I had thought it would have been.
  8. Arao Engineering Don't know if they really work as advertised, but they sure are cool looking!
  9. I hear that you can cover up rust, but unless you cut it out and replace it with new metal, it'll come back after a while. And I agree, unless it's a really cheap as hell car, get a rust free one.
  10. Isn't polishing compound a less harsh version of rubbing compound? I got some to get the scratches out of my guitar, and it didn't leave a big black mark where it ate the paint away like rubbing compound did.

Well, if I can find some way to get it, I'll take it off your hands. More junk for the garage smile.gif

Does it burn oil, run, etc? Miles? Anything 20W-50 can't fix? As long as it helps my poor, beat to hell 280ZX get back on the road, I'll take it. If I can find a way to get up there and get it.

  14. And lets not forget the 4 cylinder 3rd gen Camaros are worthless too (yes, I had to mention them too, and yes, they made them, there's a few in J.C. Radiator now).
