  1. The 2011 refresh of the vans overhauled the entire interior, some of the exterior, dropped the old engines in favor of the new 3.6L, revised the suspension, and possibly more that Im forgetting.
  2. Sure, if I want to get fired. Nate, I'll get on it. P.S. This building is huge! They claim the only building "of this type" that's bigger (by sq. ft) is the Pentagon. Not sure if this type means office space, workplaces, or what. Very easy to get lost.
  3. If you want a Chrysler or Dodge minivan, get a 2011+. It's worth it.
  4. A Journey could work, but keep in mind the 3rd row isn't going to be comfortable for grown adults. It's probably fine for kids or people with no legs. I do like the Caravan/Town and Country, but not sure it would fit in your garage better than a Flex. /Chrysler product pushing.
  5. Thanks! Although I expected, Chrysler LOL
  6. Meh, looks like they re-bodied my old Sky.
  7. I want something modern (Journey, GC, 300; must have heated seats, ESC, be comfortable, and quiet), unless I convince her to keep the Equinox and get a Stealth TT.
  8. My friends dad is a manager at VM and I've heard a lot about this engine. I've already been trying to sell the wife on this (since the SRT won't fly), but the super cheap lease deals will probably be on the 3.6.
  9. Yeah, any Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat, should be able to park in the close spots. Yeah, I really like the 2011+ Journey. It's been a consideration and is probably a front-runner to replace the Equinox. The wife likes the Grand Cherokee too, but I can't sell her on the need for an SRT. I have only driven one Journey with the FIAT diesel in it (3 years ago) and I was impressed. I think it was a mistake to bring the 500 instead of the Alfa MiTo. I would love to have one of those as a daily. "Tech center" is the main engineering headquarters. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=chrysler+tech+center&hl=en&ll=42.654541,-83.232894&spn=0.010684,0.022337&sll=45.00109,-86.270553&sspn=10.517818,22.873535&t=h&hnear=Chrysler+Tech+Center&z=16 I'm in driver assistance/active safety.
  10. Thanks. Yea, I'll be in the Tech Center in Auburn Hills, but I'm sure I'll be out at the proving grounds a lot too. I hear the employee lease deals are pretty decent, so I may sell the Equinox and try to pick something up for cheap.
  11. I once got nabbed for 95 in a 65. I went to court, paid $120 in fee's and got no points. This was 6 weeks after I got an 85 in a 55, and I did the same thing for that. I started driving slower after that...and bought a laser jammer.
  12. Officially. As I mentioned in a thread a few weeks ago (and a few people picked up on and asked me about), I was in the process of quitting my current job. I'm starting my new job on Monday. I don't drive a Chrysler, so I'll have to park farther away from the doors for a while, but the search is on for a new car.
  13. I'm assuming it's not his father's spouse because this person is stealing from his father and blocking phone access to his mother. Also, since they are considering divorcing this person you can assume it is either his father's sibling or child. Tim, I agree you need to pursue legal action and attempt to divorce this family member. I doubt you'll ever see the money returned to your father, but it might be more likely to see something from a civil suit if the criminal charges won't stick.
  14. Assuming the LEO will need probable cause to enter the residence, is this person in possession of the car, or just the keys? Could you report the vehicle stolen, giving the LEO reason to enter the home?
  15. Definitely sounds like the same problems GM had on the 4 cylinder turbo's. They did the same fix.
  16. A 4 door Raptor in your future?
  17. If it only happens in humid or damp conditions, then it sounds like the same issue GM had on the 2.0L Ecotec Turbo shortly after launch. Condensation could build up in the intercooler and under hard acceleration it could get sucked through the intake, causing the vehicle to stumble.
  18. The Hilton sells a discount card for 10% off food/drinks at the resort, and it's worth it if you will be there for a few days and plan to eat at the resort. We didn't get one, but we should have. Breakfast is expensive ($20-30 each), but if you are HHonors Gold or above you can get free breakfast. You can get instant Gold status by applying for one of the HHonors credit cards. The resort has some great pools that your kids should love. If you stay in the Lagoon Tower you will be closer to the kiddie pool and have a newly renovated room. The Ocean Tower also seemed to have a lot of kid's area's, but the shallow baby/kids/zero entry pool is by Lagoon Tower. Your room will have a fridge, but no microwave, so you can get some extra food/drink at the store. Being in the Lagoon Tower with a partial ocean view room we could also see the dolphin enclosure from our balcony. Our helicopter tour was run by Paradise and they fly out of Kona. They say to go early in the morning because it can fog up in the afternoon. Our ride was a bit hazey, but that was the only day we had rain. Otherwise we would have been fine. Rental car is a must, IMO. We did a circle island bus tour too, but we should have just driven ourselves. Although, my son probably fared better on the bus since he didn't have to strap in his car seat. I stayed one night in Kona at the Courtyard too. http://www.konabeachhotel.com/
  19. Where are you staying? We were at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island and CR member Akula has been there a lot too. I'm jealous that you are able to stay there for a couple weeks too! Are you taking your kids? The best advice I can give from our trip is to do a helicopter tour. This was totally worth it, and was a great way to see parts of the island that you would otherwise not be able to access. We did the longer (more expensive) 2 hour tour, but I would do it again in a heart beat. I would also suggest renting a car so you're lot tied to the resort and can find your own places to eat, do your own excursions, etc. A lot of this will hinge on where you are staying (what island, what resort/vacation rental/etc).
  20. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punalu'u_Beach There were quite a few that we saw from the helicopter, but this one is the most popular. (and where my pics are from)
  21. 11. My son http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0923.jpg 12. Sunset at the resort. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0927.jpg 13. Sea turtles would swim into the resort. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0946.jpg 14. Watchin the water http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_1007.jpg 15. I had to feed him to sit still...his mouth was stuffed full so he was done sitting. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_1014.jpg 16. Road into the resort. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_1043.jpg
  22. Going through all my Hawaii pics and figured I would post a few. I am far from a pro photographer. All pics are on a T3i set to Auto with the 18-55 lens. I have done no editing to these and Photobucket chopped the resolution. 1. Alien Landscape of Volcano National Park (from Helicopter) http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0568.jpg 2. Lava Flow (from Helicopter)http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0592.jpg 3. Headed towards the water in search of lava... http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0602.jpg 4. Found it! http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0618.jpg 5. Lot's of steam blocking some of the view http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0630.jpg 6. Waterfall http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0688.jpg 7. Tallest waterfall in the US...too close to get the entire thing in one frame. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0702.jpg 8. View up to coast line http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0711.jpg 9. Again... http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0718.jpg 10. Black Sand Beach. (Lots of sea turtles in the water here) http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/IMG_0842.jpg
  23. Meh, for $100 I'll buy another in 2 years if I have to. I don't use it that often and my current one is busted.
