Engine technology has progressed quite a bit since 1992. I would expect direct injection and cam phasing at least, with possibilities for variable timing and lift and variable geometry turbo's. The MPG concerns will be greater with this than the 2JZ, but it's pushing more HP and has higher displacement.

Yeah, true. What years were you at competition? I always wanted to do FSAE, but only was able to my senior year (2005 competition). Our '05 car was similar to our previous designs, but was much better sorted. We got screwed and had to run our times in the rain, while others ran in the dry. We had the typical double wishbones front and rear, revalved mountain bike shocks/springs on each corner, F4i engine, and a Honda ATV diff in a custom CNC'd housing. Sounds like a fun A-mod car, though!

It's a turbo with an electric motor inside, used to spool it up on demand. This could allow you to use a larger turbo and be able to make boost at lower rpm. Huh? How do you figure? The A4 2.0T has 208 HP/258 lb-ft and is FWD or AWD. The Regal is 259 HP/295 lb-ft and FWD or AWD.

autos.yahoo.com for a 2012 A4 2.0t Premium quattro manual. I just Googled A4 2.0t curb weight and that's what came up. (3616 lbs) p.s. i see now. I fat thumbed it and typed a 2 instead of 3.

So it weighs about the same an Audi A4 2.0t (3600-3700 lbs) and has almost 50 more HP. The Ecotec in this car is significantly reworked from the days of the Cavi. It's closer to the turbo Solstice/Cobalt engine, but still has a lot of revisions. I did hear that you can't get the manual trans with AWD, which is a fail in my book.

Could have been GVWR, but I can't seem to find out how much it really is. On the GS it's 4700 lbs.

For 2014 the Regal Turbo and GS get optional AWD, and the they go from 220hp/260 lb-ft to 259/295. This is a loss in power for the GS, though. edit: it can send more than 90% of the power to the rear wheels.

Looks like it's been a common issue with the stock browser after September last year. Not sure if it's a browser bug or Market. Lots of sites have people reporting the issue, but I haven't found anyone stating a cause.

I don't click on random links with my phone, but for the last several months when I'm on the internet (typically on CR) I'll get a pop up that says "Billing not supported in this version of Android" or something like that. Been wondering if I picked up a virus, but I don't keep bank account info in my phone. Anyone else get this message?
