ok Campbell (think that was the marketing director) said GM had nothing to fear for sales because they were releasing the Cobalt SS and the Monte Carlo SS to compete with the Mustangs sales ... sorry, i'm a GM fan ... but it's going to be really hard to compete with with the Cobra's with out supercharged V6's ... just my humbled opinion though...

World Automakers #1. GM #2. TOYOTA #3. Ford Toyota took over Ford a while ago, Ford might sell more trucks but Toyota sells more over-all. LEtsa face it GMC is engineering Saturn to go after Lexus, because it's been a 'fear' that Toyota will over-take GM. I still think GM owns them all think about it, they own more porn channels than any other source, in owning DirecTV. They own Ford, it's just they can't make it public hahaha

I just thought it was funny after all the 'doing retro is a bad idea' junk we all gave Ford owners now it looks like Chevrolet might be in on the band wagon. I've heard a lot of talk about the Camaro coming back in 07. But no one knows any details of what it might have for an engine or anything like that. But lots of rumors about it being a retro styling of the late 60's Camaros. Thought you'd all enjoy that though.

I went to Eastland with Peter if I'm thinking of the right kid, his 240 is pretty sweet and if I remember right he's deff good at what he does. I'll have to try and see him before he goes, is he still working over at SKS?

The car is respectable for it's talents, but it's still just a Honda. and it's probablly best he doesn't have more then 200 HP before 5500 rpm, otherwise it would make it about pointless to drive on the street. Can you imagine trying to get around on Broad street light to light if he boosted at like 2000 I just think, and it's my own personal opinion. That making Hondas's (accrods, civic) Toyota's (Supra's, Celica's, MR2's) ect. ect... is simply a 'hey look what I can do' statement, which to a point is good but why not just get a 350 and run the same times for 1/2 the $$$$? I guess it's all personal preference right?

auto 700, it ran fine when the kid before me bought it it's just got a hell of a push in on the oil pan, guessing the bearings where starved. due ot lack of oil and it through the rod, i'm going to get some pics of it this weekend, i've got the intake manifold off I cleaned it all up (hot tanked it). was working on getting the head off to check the block casting number but have just accepted it's a 305 ... it has all the symptons

car interior is mediocre the engine could have a htrown rod but it's a 305 TBI anyways. has the leather power seats from the Berletta Camaro. no radio, wires ran for system. asking $500 for it as is O.B.O., or ask me about individual parts and I'll part it out. great chassis, bought the car and was going to use it for a track car but decided come this summer would rather put all my $$$ into my Monte.

Anyone know how this whole process works? I'm ready to get rid of my Camaro for a few reasons, one being I'm just not going to have time to play with it AND the monte and I like the monte more to be frank. I need a place that'll take the car no questions asked and just give me a blue book value right off, that would be nice. It doesn't run right now, could be a thrown rod, could be a flexplate problem (most likely a rod though). I need ideas.

end of March on the 25th (a friday) I'm having the monte trailered back to Ohio, I was wondering if anyone knows any places I could leave it under a cover? and could work on it occasionally? or any sheds around that aren't too expensive... or if anyone is renting out garage space? I finally gave up on driving it back because well the carb is grossly out of tune and it's either raining, snowing, or inbetween here in the mountains of PA. Figure if I can get it back to Ohio, maybe it's even possible for one of you to show me some carb tuning 101? thanks!

well if it's an arguement of putting effort into it, there really isn't anything on a car you can't learn from a book. As I know a guy who has made a VERY succesful career and has no schooling just decided oneday to start reading and playing. there all tech schools you got to keep that in mind, not much a school can teach you in the way of a skilled profession like the one we've choosen. They can give ya the theory and basics but for the most part it's trial and error, ESPECIALLY with all the different car manufacturers out there. anyone disagree?

it's hard to beat a 1993 Celica ST with 16" rims on it for slowness. I'm deffinately slower than most. and I just bought an 89 Camaro that doesn't run does that count?

only handicap he is is mentally, not to mention the stretch for 'make you look like an ass I really am handicap.' when ya getting your handicap plates and mirror thing 'yo'? oh well, kinda disappointed I missed the guy really.
