Is there any chance the hours could be afternoon? I'm looking for a simple job like this but go to school durring the mornings.

I know I never post and have yet to come out, mainly because I have no fast car to race. but have you guys tried like a rotating meeting place? Like have 5 or so spots that you meet up at randomly and people are informed of the spot 2 or 3 days ahead with pms or messages on here.

Is it true we have like 4 red ls1 Camaros that are highway patrol cars? A few years back in a driving course, the instructor was telling us about them. Then this past weekend at the super Chevy show they had a red Camaro race down the strip with a few other confiscated cars they converted.

Sorry, I wasn't thinking of all that when I made the first post. The car is an 87 Camaro, with a 400 transmission that will be redone. We're also not sure on the rear end gears either. Our goals for the car is just a sunny weekend, streetable race car. Gas mileage really isn't a concern but we'd don’t want to use racing fuel. 1/4 mile time would like to be around mid to low 12's. Top speed doesn't need to be to high, just enough to have fun with.

Well, this will be my first time building an engine. and my dad, who is a mechanic hasn't built up a motor in 15 years so he really doesn't know all the new companies and parts out there. What I am on here asking for is some ideas on parts. We can assemble everything ourselves it's just what to get is what we're stuck on. The block we have is a 350 but it will more than likely need to be bored 30 over so we where thinking of making it a 383. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good jungle type Drum and Bass Cd‘s. I just got Pendulum's Hold your Colour, and I recommend it to anyone who listens to this type of stuff. If anyone is confused on what type of music I'm talking about, in Midnight Club 3 the songs by calyx are what I'm looking for. And just so everyone knows, Pendulum's Cd is way better than calyx's Cd.

I emailed him the link to that turbosaturn site he said he'll get on there. I think he'll just end up doing simple bolt-ons for now because I told him that there was more into buying a tubo than the turbo himself. As for the nitrous kit he is still unsure about it, I myself don't know much about nitrous either so I can't really explain it to him. Well I think I'm just going to tell him what everyone on here said and dump the idea of a turbo and go with the 100 shot of Nitrous. I had him planning on getting headers and the exhaust done until he seen one of those cheap turbos on ebay. I realized that there was more money to be spent on the other stuff to make the turbo work but I hadn't even thought if he knew about the other stuff. Mabey once I tell him that there is more to it than just the turbo itself he go back to the original plans to get headers and do other small bolt-ons, and if anyone want to race him to show him just how slow a stock ecotec really is I'd be thankful, I'm getting tired of hearing how fast it is.

I agree with you 10x, but this is the first car he's driven by himself and no one else with a fast car has given him a ride, so to him it's the fastest car on the street, and I have no way to show him otherwise. I've tried telling him but you know how that goes.

ya they have this one big ass manual on how to tune your ecotec up I have it saved on my computer. I really just wanted some other opinions on the matter seeing as I don't know enough myself to read a book and go from that. I don't think that he will go as far as a super fake turbo sounding muffler insert, but I don't think he want's to get into changing the internals of his engine so like 6-9 PSI? and don't think I'm just ignoring everybodies recommendation of the nitrous I'll be sure to tell him about it.

I realize that there is more than just a turbo that needs to be bought to do this. Bam614 is right in saying that he wants one just to say he has one. He can't do shit to his car by himself so the turbo work will be done by a shop. He just wants me to help him pick the turbo itself and then have a shop do all the other stuff. I don't think they make kits for his car, I know they do for like cavaliers with the ecotecs but he has a saturn L200, and the piping would be different. I'll even get him on here so you guys can tell him that a nitrous kit would be a better bang for the buck, but like I said I think it's more of a image thing than a power thing. He doesn't want much HP and I haven't even began to look into the tuning. I'm not even going to bother about it either, I was just going to help him pick a turbo out then point him in the direction to the nearest shop to have them install and tune it. Like I said, he doesn't know anything about cars so he doesn't realize how nitrous really works.

Do you mean he'll need more money for the fuel system, and piping, and all that other happy stuff, or that one of those 300 dollar turbo won't work for him? I think he's scared of nitrous.

My friend has an ecotec 2.2 in his car and he wants to turbo it. I know nothing about turbos, and he knows nothing about cars.
