  1. Thanks for the complements. That car has come a long way from when I brought it home. Some rando sunburian still roles up, looked at it, complemented Brian's camaro and drove away in his chubby.
  2. Washed the spilled wing sauce out of the theets from last night. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1037&pictureid=9284
  3. Good job HBK. You bought a car. What options besides MT did you acquire on this thing? If Tom is giving those wheels away, please take them and wrap them in some sticky bologna.
  4. If I were there and it was a v8 I would congratulate him. If I were there and it was a v6 lol with track package I would congratulate him. If I were there and it was a v6 w/o track or with auto I would lol him in da face. Someone carry the torch for me.
  5. long story. Won a clean title car several times, exceeding the reserve but they didn't like the "final" price. It was relisted a third time and I got outbid that time. The car never went up again.
  6. Copart.com has a wide variety of them if you have the patience of dealing with them.
  7. These things sound great. Don't see them often either.
  8. I will gladly lay a $20 that they lead AFC north into playoffs, if you're interested in that Aaron?
  9. I use a Yi camera too. They're emerging, available on Amazon and meets your price point. There are features that you don't really need but can be helpful: (bluetooth and wireless connectivity mean you can access it on your cellphone and use it for live view, back up cam, etc.)
  10. A friend of mine from work is selling his car at $34,000: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1037&pictureid=9261 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1037&pictureid=9260 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1037&pictureid=9259 https://driveviper.com/classifieds/gen-i/p2643-1994-gen1-w-2f-venzano-interior.html Wanting to sell my Gen 1 and upgrade to a 2008 another club member is selling. This 94 Gen 1 has many upgrades. Including a custom Venzano Viper interior, Black and Red. Chromed original rims. Three piece trunk hardtop. Custom audio system w/ dynomat. Still have all original items. Soft top, windows, interior cab cover. Floor mats including trunk mat. Exterior cab rain cover and whole car cover. Tires bought new in spring of 2017 and have about 2,500 miles on them. 52,000 miles. Driven, completely maintained and thoroughly enjoyed for over 12 years now. Central Ohio area. Built in March '94, no A/C. I'm 2nd owner and have all records.
  11. Penfed will. I purchased my viper with 36 month @ 3.49% when it was 16 years old.
  12. A c5 over an s197 gt? That's silly. The coyote is solid and up to 10 years newer. They can be had for 11-18k depending on milage.
  13. 900-1k HP on a vette? They can't hand that over to Bob the pizza shop owner or Leonard the insurance guy for less than a normal 401k drawers income.
  14. Pics fixed. Should be able to close this thread now.
  15. Rymer was so savage we'll have to rename him "Fred".
  16. Post #2 was missing "get a warranty" and "don't do dumb things", its team work!
  17. No offense to most of you guys but recommending a car that fits his price range but would bankrupt him at the first service isn't helpful. Get your head out of your ass. Now, if I'm really asking myself "WWID with 15-18k?" I would buy an s197 Mustang TP. They shred, they look good, they're solid daily/weekend warriors. You can also entertain similar year 1le Camaros. They're great cars but not for everybody. What you should do is try to acquire a car that has some semblance of a warranty but I don't think you would be throwing caution to the wind with a slightly older platform like Aaron suggested. Don't be dumb HBK. This is a pivotal decision in your life. It will lift you to midpack stardom, reliable daily krew lounge lunches with your friends. Or it will doom you to a rinse and repeat with rx8 grandeur: brokedick-daily life, financial struggles through your remaining 20s, car repairs and paying student loans impoverishment. Miserable mode achieved.
  18. You're youngish still. Get something lightly used that has several years of warranty remaining. Mustang, Camaro, Miata, BRZ... If you go with a v6/i4 in a modern chassis don't feel bad (but get the track options at the very least or you will be shamed).
