    The Pikey

    Hail to the chief.
  3. Aarons' drive home everyday. He uses "Morse Rd people" as cones. Very irresponsible.
  4. I could see Mustang on thlickuths making a lot of dough. And probably facing off against me in SSM
  5. An autocross event? I race hungover 80% of the time on 4 hours of sleep. It's not that taxing. They use the access road behind DW42. It's extremely large and fast course layouts.
  6. Just don't go sharing it with Danny Popp. Or a lot of people in general. I've found the boys up North to be slower than down South.
  7. I'd like to point out that Akron SCCA will be having cash days for autocross very similar to what the guys at the drag strip do now. Run what you brung, side bets, buy backs x3. The whole shabang. I intend on going up there next season with a few hundred a day and seeing how much I can bring home. This is a legal avenue, with turns and a slightly more level playing field. There's going to be 13 events next year, lots of cash to be had.
  8. I see two schools of thought here: those that drive casually and don't back down from a friendly challenge along the way and those that go out of their way to find organized street racing like the OP was asking. For the later, it takes 700+ or an absurdly light platform with similar power to weight. Former, I drive A LOT between NE cbus to Downtown and I rarely encounter anything worth a damn. And nothing has stepped to my 500ish hp to date. Columbus lol.
  9. Because I drive one and have facts to back my allegiance. The vette is unproven. Chevy couldn't beat the aero engineering RG brought on board the SRT team so they threw more horsepower and tire at the car. Looks very similar to the late comebacks they make against the Ford Mustang :gabe:
  10. The 2016 ACR was 1.5 seconds faster than the z06. We'll see if the zr1 can indeed top it. Also, I don't know that anyone has gone for the record in the 2017 ACR Extreme Edition. It has even crazier aero at work.
  11. Thanks guys. So far I got conversation with Chad from On3 but he's just now setting his rollers up, hopefully he has experience by the time I go to tune. I'll reach out to Andy since he's an old buddy. Crucial is busy I don't want to be a bother since they have lines of people to tune. And I've still got Brian for backup as I trust him the most.
  12. As it turns out, the zr1 fell extremely short in down-force produced when compared to the Viper ACR. So, we'll have to see if the power and grip actually make up for this short coming on shorter/less fast courses. I suspect it won't be enough to take majority.
  13. I definitely am not implying it's a bad thing. Simply tossing a turd log on the fire of a Chevy dominated forum.
  14. Wow you guys are a bunch of ricers around here anymore You think this ZR1 was created to fight Demons and win HP dick measuring contests?
  15. So these are good places for a bachelor party?
  16. From the front it looks like a wanna-be ACR (I'm talking the headlights). Anyway, a lot of this car will be borrowed from the SRT playbook because they're playing catch up to a 2017 model year Dodge. Two years late and sporting a 10-speed automatic transmission too. http://cdn.quotesgram.com/small/69/74/1700668124-But-thats-none-of-my-business.jpg I have no doubt it will be fast. It will be faster at Nürburgring and many other high speed courses at home. It will not take every title, probably not even half of them here in the States. It's good to see Chevy creating more competition among incredible cars that cost less than the general populations lifetime earnings. But until it grabs half the titles from the ACR in 2021 I say "aero bowtie lol :gabe:"
  17. Which towns? I love people watching
  18. Can you guys offer a recommendation for renting dyno time? I'm not looking for a tuner, I'm looking for a shop that specializes in operating a warm facility with internet access and specials for a few hours of time. I have Dyno Brian on backup but he prefers to tune vs rent his rollers, so I want him to have an out if there's someone you guys can recommend.
  19. I wonder what happened to Will. Edit: He's got a FB. Still looks to have some touches of crazy.

    Resto Fox

Hell ya that thing should stop your guts out. Assuming you got enough tire
  21. I've heard these cars are extremely capable but difficult for an average driver to drive fast; sounds familiar. Good luck with your sale Draco. Hopefully someone that likes a challenge decides on yours or someone that likes cars and coffee.
