The way I see it, Grant has no car knowledge and was going to drop his car off at the shop and pay the price to have a stock turbo put back onto the car - he has continually been bent over by shops and dealers when I've said numerous times I would have been able to order those parts online and gladly installed them.. If I can make his car quicker for the same price I have to atleast try.

A friend of mine switched to a vf39 with turboback, cai, tune, pump, inj, etc and that rex could not hold its own against the 5.0 from a dig, with my now stockified airbox and stock headers. What do you suggest Ben?

Baaaaack. Everything is in place except the minor bump in the road with the turbo. I can trade/sell it off and we can get another if that's what the best route is going to be. Grant wants to have his car running turbo'd again ASAP with more power over stock. His goals were to get it going from here and later down the road set the car up to be a bad ass highway machine, that is why I suggested my turbo for him! I'm going to start looking around a bit for this vf39

Maybe we can trade the turbo for something smaller - to someone looking to go a step up from where they are currently sitting. I respect and appreciate everyones opinion. We did not intend to throw a beast turbo on this car and crank it up, just merely to give him something that would get the car running again. Something capable of some power that leaves him the large amount of room he wanted to have in order to grow later down the road as his finances allow.

If it's an 04 they will fit. Only thing is they are some blingers, that's my bro's style.

My brother is selling a set of aftermarket rims and tires from his 04 gt. Not sure if that is a help or not but I figured I would LYK.

My friend has an 04 bugeye and we are about to mod it in the next two weeks. His stock turbo took a shit so I sold him on the cheap an extra 60trim garret turbo I had laying around. What I need to know is what parts - in order to make more power - are going to be necessary to support this new and enlarged turbo? We will have the money to shop on Friday for what we need (though this build is limited to a certain amount of money). We have our exhaust worked out and our tune, so what else is there? Are there limits to the IC I should know, the injectors, the fuel pump? Let me know anything you can share. I know nothing of these cars, I'm just ripping it apart and putting it together and he is handing me his debit card to shop with. Thanks EDIT - This turbo is externally wastegated as well, are the stockers internal or external?

LOL. No kids, I do not permit drunk bike riding. Funny story though that ice that fell last night was bad on my street, some drunk guy skid off the road into my yard and hit a (guestimate) 1 1/2 ton rock. Dumb ass drove himself off of it and ripped the entire front end undercarriage out from under his s-10 and kept driving when I tried to help him... almost hitting another car as he dragged what was left of that truck down the road. Fucking morons. Left his lights off too as he drove away so I couldn't read his plate.

Jon I would love a road trip to drop it off and get hazey bt my new job and schedule just does not permit for it right now. Yes, the bike is a hell of a deal but for good reason. The battery is letting go and the tires are going to need changed this season, so I thought the price was fair. I have repainted the bike because it was oxidated badly to a flat white and black and painted the lights, mirrorsc etc with vht.
