  1. I knew they would upgrade the brakes, only thing that isn't super cool on my car. I'm buying a set of brakes from GM next year and there going to be shinny red with my logo on um.

  8. That’s what I thought, I know how to drive stick. I've still got my '96 Z28 with 98,000 miles and the original factory clutch. Of coarse I am on the fifth set of tires on the car but the clutch is still running strong. [ 23. June 2004, 09:45 AM: Message edited by: High Octane ]
  9. During previous week I noticed some strange behavior in the Goat, for one I stalled it twice for the first time since I bought it, and some hard shifting. Saturday I was on CR 1st Summer Cruise. While on the cruise I noticed shifting to 5th and 6th was very difficult, the synchromesh didn't want to line up the gears. By the end of the 30 mile cruise I noticed most gears didn't want to allow a down shift without double clutching or bumping the throttle, the synchromesh needed some large help. When I got home I tested the grab point on my clutch my using the emergency brake and slowly letting the clutch up from the floor. The clutch grabbed about an inch from the floor, the grab point had moved between one and two inches toward the floor. Took the car to the dealership today. Well it sucks to be me. The clutch on the Goat is wasteland. Dealership bitched because of excessive wear on tires. The mechanic only looked at the driver side. If he had looked at the passenger side he would have realized that I'm not doing burnout’s. I'm running the car on rally racetracks. And of course, (most turning is to the right, loading the weight on the left) on a clockwise track. Drag racing puts serious stress on the whole drive train, road racing mostly the bushings brakes and tires. Anyway they are doing me a special one time only favor and going to replace the clutch under warrantee next week. I was told it would take 3 days I hope that’s all it takes.
  10. Jack has been doing the work on my '96 Z28 and '85 suburban since '99 when I moved into the area. Between both of them, I've been in the shop I don't know maybe a dozen times. Only once did they screwed up, and as soon as I bitched about it they made it right..
  11. Now what lesson have we learned here? The Mustang is a fine car, the firebird is a fine car but we can't ever allow them to interbreed
  12. Looks like the guy wanted a firebird but bought a mustang by mistake, so he tryed to turn the mustang into a firebird. And just ended up with well I'm not sure, but it looks like ass.
  13. Yes, all guys team Vs. all girls team.
  14. GM had an article on there media sight about LS2 going into the GTO for '05 producing 400HP
  15. My 350HP GTO gets mid 30's on the highway and low 20's in the city.
  16. Police: Chase Ended Before Motorcyclist Died Portion Of I-270 Closed For Several Hours UPDATED: 10:27 PM EDT June 13, 2004 GAHANNA, Ohio -- Police said that they ended a chase of a motorcyclist just minutes before he died along Interstate 270 early Sunday morning. NewsChannel 4 reported that the accident occurred just north of Morse Road, when the driver of the motorcycle lost control of the bike and then landed on a car in the opposite side of the freeway. Police said that they began following the motorcycle along Hamilton Road when the driver, Trenton D. Faught, of Marysville, allegedly sped away from police. Police said that they ended their chase near state Route 62 because of safety concerns. The northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 270 were closed for six hours following the wreck. At least two other vehicles were involved in the crash. Walston said that a dark van that was hauling a boat suffered damage to the vehicle's front end. A white car sustained damage to the back left side. Police closed the entire highway between state Route 161 and Morse Road from midnight until 6 a.m.
  17. Not all Mustang owners have bad taste
  18. Hear the truck was in the $40,000's
  19. Actually I've been fighting antique GOAT owners on several boards for weeks. These dinosaurs can't handle the fact that GM is selling the GTO again. And that it isn't a retard-o POS like the what ford did with the thunderbird.
  20. I went to COSI and it was broke also. I used truck stop scale $8.00 take 270 west around to 70 take 70 east toward town first exit Wilson dr. as you come up the exit ramp you'll see the Wendy’s truck stop straight ahead through the stop light. The scale is around back. The cool thing is it's super accurate and you weigh front and back on different scales so you get front back and total weight
