I'll certainly think about Ty. I'm not sure what it is with him. It's like he has a victim complex. I do see "cliques" on COS, but it's not done intentionally. If you have been friends longer with someone, you naturally want to spend more time with them. Additionally, I think another cause might be that some people only like doing certain things. For example, I've gone out to MOMO's probably three times, but it's not for everyone. I went out to Polaris once (before all the excitement happened), and I knew right away I didn't want to be part of that. COS is a very diverse group. So that might be another reason. I don't know. We do make an effort to make new members feel welcome. One last thing, we didn't ban a sponsor. We simply decided that we didn't want to do business with them anymore. Bill, Despite what you have said in this thread I feel I overreacted by banning you. I lifted your ban. Ty, yes, his ban stands for now. Man, you piss me off sometimes, and that's a hard thing to do. This is the forth time you have set me up to ban you and each time a stepped away from it. You know this to be true. It was the summation of those events that caused me to ban you, and not this incident. Consider this an apology, but for the love of god calm down man. Life is too short.

A guy at work explained it to me. Basically engines are linked togeather on the same throttle and one engine's throttle is out of sync. The train is stopped, but the wheels on one engine slowly turn and grind the rail. If nobody catches it then this happens. It's called rail burn.

Another COFBA convert here. Eventually I left COFBA and started COS. So if there was no COFBA, then there would have been no COS either.

I agree with those above. NASA HPDE @ Mid-Ohio is the best bet. You will have an "instructor" in the car with you. Once you learn the ropes, you can go out on your own. It's a safer approach on a safer track. For one day it's about the same price and you get to drive on a world class track. Plus you will spend less money on gas to get there. I also doubt you'd want to drive up there, drive the track, and drive back the same day. So you have to factor in hotel cost when going to Nelson. I doubt my car will be ready to go this year. So these are just suggestions for you.

What's wrong with Ken Blackwell? I honestly have researched his background but he seems to be a conservative. He would have made a much better governor than Strickland. I listened to Strickland's State of the State address. Wow, what a joke. More debt and government spending is exactly what we need. This after he laid off more government workers. He doesn't know what the hell he is doing. I'm hoping for a third party candidate for president. The choices we have are completely unacceptable. I actually already voted absentee in the primary. I know Ron Paul won't win the nomination, but at least I'm sending a message that McCain is a joke of a candidate. There is nothing he can say now that will change my mind about his voting record. He is about as conservative as Senator Kennedy.

I work at a bank and trust me politics, red tape, and shrinking benefits are everywhere. If you're complaining about small raises, then let me tell you that the only way to get a raise in the private IT sector is to go to another company. Raise? What's that? My biggest concern is how much your resume takes a hit when you are there. If you get a state job it's hard to leave it because everything thinks govenment employees are lazy slobs. True or not, that is the perception. There is no such thing as a safe job in the IT world. Just try to save money for the down times. Some of the best advice I've heard is to make as much money as possible as fast as possible, save it, and then retire. That sure beats a stable job. I feel I want to get out of the IT world, but I really don't know where I would go.
