I was on my way back from Ft. Knox last night about midnight, looks like the decision to come home and sleep was the better one.
IPS- if you need someone to come out early, leme know. Good way to justify coming out to the wife.
More background needed. What are you planning to put this in, car/truck, year, body, transmission, gears, ect.
Also, what is you goal? Top end, 1/4 MI, pulling a boat, off roading, fun daily, efficent daily, ect.
1980 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 18.5 21.4
Closest thing to my Buick (same body, smoger 350 instead of the smoger 307 I used to have.)
New numbers on the 29th hopefully.....
Surface area of drum vs. surface area of cable. (surface area of cable W*L, ignore circumfrance of cable).
8' of 1/4" cable
8*12 = length in inches (96)
96 * width .25 (I would use .30 so there is room between cables, maybe more or less pending your cable)
28.8 sq in
How much space do you have for your drum?
surface of a cylinder is (IIRC) 2PiR*length of cylinder
Its early, in about 5 cups of coffe I might have something better than the work a kindergartner could turn out.
Having one go off in front of you is probably the scariest shit. Cant hear or see a thing, and you dont know if it was a single, a daisy chain, and if there is an ambush coming with it. RPGs come in a close second.
The quarter bottle would probably fill up quicker if you didnt go to the laundromat and bought my washer and dryer.
That is cool though. I used to have one of those oversized wine classes (think prop glass from Chris Rocks "no sechs in the champagne room") and alot of beer bottles died trying to fill it with caps. And liver cells.
Wife GP is surging, starts out fine, however mild acceleration from ~35 - 60 yields a surging in the RPMs (aprox 500-700 rpm variance). Kind of like the torque converter is cycling in and out of lockup.
Also, there is a fair amount of whine when accelerating, almost sounds like blower whine. Shifts firmly, fluid level is good, fluid looks good and smells like tranny fluid should.
The car is in good shape, nothing else mechaicaly wrong, 120k on the clock.
Anyone have some ideas?
Thanks
Jet hot is a ceramic coating, correct?
I am not sure how well it holds up to chemicals, I would assume somewhat decent. Softscrub w/o the pumice, or orange hand cleaner could be worth a shot.
