  1. from what i hear hondata is the answer. but its pricey. its nice how they take your car specifically and speicifically tune it how you would prefer it to be, not just give you a general map for just anyother accord

  3. dura gloss always gave it a really deep look it looked like it was about 3 inches deep
  4. the wires are what they use from the factory to calibrate it you dont need them just tuck them away out of site and you will be fine.

  7. i had nitrous it was nice and all but like i said before IF i do it will be the last thing and right now it doesnt look like im gonna i like my car to much any ways that all is way graemlins/offtopic.gif anyway i found a ram air for the j's racing intake. im not sure if they make it for our cars yet but i thought you might be interested in a ram air for yours if you havent already got it mabey you already knew about too i dont know.....what are your thoughts about that
  8. i never said im never gonna put nitrous to it......i said its not in the near future......... they arent exactly smoking up the production line with my engine actually they dont make them at all anymore.........i only have close to 35000 miles on this thing what if i want to sell it in a while right now it looks pretty good for resale low miles perfect condition and runs great............sounds wonderful but if someone knows there has been nitrous on it its gonna go way down......there for i want that to be the last mod i do.......im looking at the big picture like in-case-shit-happens stuff....yes right now i want just little tidbits of stuff done intake header full exhaust port and polish little stuff like that......im not sayin nitrous is the devil cuz its not the right tunning it can be great but my car my engine and i are not ready for it yet.

  12. any way all ed tells me anymore if i ever go to him with a question is just put a bottle on it and all you problems are over. i get tired of hearing that all the time. i know what nitrous can do but i want to see if i can get gains somewhere else. if im gonna do go that way it will be the last route i take.
  13. danny has nothing to do with my decision to not bottle feed it i think to much of this engine to spray it yet. i have never auto crossed my car and i prob wont because i like the thrill of drag racing so much more. so i guess i should go with the 4-1 then if im following.
  14. alright thanks for the input fellas so now does nyone have any suggestions about headers then i know steve said a jdm one but its only a 4-1 i thought it would be best with a 4-2-1.....whats your views on this....what gives more gains all around
  15. thanks conesmasher for the link and the info but im still not sure what i want i want it to look as stock as possible i know that so im still leaning towards the icebox but i would like to see some number for it if anyone has any place they can get them and link me to them that would be great or even if they have had one. thanks again
  16. thanks for the feed back. but what other headers would you recomend. i thought that the 4-2-1 header was the best and can you elaborate more about the collector i dont know much about that. thanks for the help if its ok i might pm you if i have anymore questions but im not closing my mind to anymore suggestions from the public here im still open. i had my mind set on comptech and i guess im still not sold on j's(jackson racing?) either i would like to hear some more testimonials please.
  17. but to make a turbo car work effectively dont you need the i/e no h (cuz you need the mannifold)? not trying to start a fight but thats what i always figured? you gotta start somewhere i guess im asking right
  18. i have and i did like everything i saw for jackson racing, i was suprisedto find that they had a vtech controler. but they dont specialize in acura and honda tuning like spoon mugen and comtech do. but i will go back and check it out again. thanks
  19. i wasnt planning on spending it all on just one thing. what about ignition system. steve what headers have you found to be the best. i have been looking for them too and i have found a couple but im not sold on any yet. and to reply to the aem is worse than stock stuff thats the reason im wanted to go with comptech spoon or mugen. they test and retest everything at tracks and fine tune everything before they market it.
  20. thanks for all the discussion so far, about the intake i wanted to go with the comptech ice box. i like the idea of the ram air for it. the amount is a little more than $400. i also thought about mabey puttin in the mugen head gasket that raises the compression a little but im sure that wouldnt make that much of a difference and then i was worried about running it on pump gas. but what do you think about the ice box.
  21. yeah if its anything like a pulling tractor (sorry for the comparison) they have alot of "whistle" when they launch but they are manual and they jump it in about what is compared to our third gear. but yeah you want the most whistle as possible im guessing
  22. well im not an awd driver but i know with an automatic you hold the brake and give it enough gas that it doesnt move........like just gettin the rpms up enough that when its green all you gotta do i release the brake and hammer down...... but again i have never drivin an awd but i know that is how the pros do it with autos
  23. what was the most effective modification done to your car either engine or suspension (but more interested in the engine). i just got some extra cash and i was looking to do at least one thing to my poor bone stock R. i know there is a few with b18c5's that they swaped in here too im sure you have some advice also. the only thing im not really open to now is nitrous i want that to be my last mod if i do it. thanks for the help
