  1. It's the only shit that you goons talk about anymore that I can identify with... or against. What goes on in yer turlit don't count.
  2. Ohhh! you mean history class? Yes, you will learn about the basics of religious beliefs in world history class, not is science class. So, no need to put it in science class. The arguments that scientific theories are on par with religious beliefs is absolutely absurd, especially in the case of the big Bang. Any scientific theories proposed in the text books found in public schools are going to have actual observations and repeatable data to support them... not "Some guy said this happened". Anyone who thinks that the Big Bang is in the same category as ID obviously doesn't understand the data supporting the big bang. To these people nothing short of a time machine going back in time to show it to them will do. "I didn't see it happen, so I will never believe it." -The content of the universe is expanding from a common point, if you have the right equipment and can do the math, you can see this to be the case for yourself. -If you have the right equipment, you can hear the "echo" created from the massive event. -The heat signature from the event was discovered way back in 1965. No one said "I think there wuz a big bang!" and set out to prove it. Instead, evidence piled up over time before anyone stuck their neck out and said; "Hey, this stuff all points to a central massive event."
  3. So should allot of people.
  4. It's unconstitutional. you can, however, do that in public school. If you were to do a theology class, you would have to cover all of the documented religions inthe world, and you not be allowed to spend more time on one than the other. This would be a 4 year course. Shouldn't be difficult for christianity, you only have to cover 7 days, should only take about 15 mins. The closest compramise I've seen that seemed to work was a "Bible as Literature" class, where you pretty much discussed the book and it's origins. It was an elective, though, not worth a whole lot. The simple point is this, schools are not being paid to teach you about religion. That's against the law.
  5. Speech dissection is in, has anyone else read it? Seems this biotch is full of shit on allot of things, espcially her stance on spending and earmarks. Question for all that loved the speech and were swayed by it: Hows it feel to learn most of that goos shit was BS? Not going to read it because you dismiss it as punditry? Or because it's really long? I'll post cliffs later for the lazy folk, but you aught to read all of it to actually be wholly informed.
  6. Georgia launched an offensive into South Ossetia, Russia responded. Everyone's an asshole, no one should get money.
  7. Sad story from the old neighborhood: -Neighbor couple #1: Mid-late 40's. Had 2 teacup poodles that were never on a leash. They would bark and chase everything that came by the house. -Neighbor Couple #2: young couple, first house, etc. Had a doberman and a similarly sized shorthaird sheepdog. I was a kid, and all the kids were welcome to come play with their dogs. Couple #2 walked their dogs on a 6ft leash, round the block, every day. One day, they were walking by couple #1s house (and I happened to riding my bike by as well). The poodle bolted out of the garage, into the street, and went after Couple #2s dogs. The doberman grabbed one poodle and flung it through the air faster than anyone could do anything. Both couples restrain dogs, one poodle is ripped open. I rode on, I was 8 years old, and thought "hehe bad ass, stoopit poodle". If I had known that Couple #1 was going to lawer-up and push for the doberman to be put down 9possibly a lawsuit, not sure), I would have stuck around and volunteered my testimony. Couple #2 couldn't swing a lawer, and ultimately lost. The doberman was put down.
  8. No, it's unconstitutional, criminal, and against everything our forefathers faught for. This is a big deal, and should be seized upon by anyone able to investigate it. I want to know what books she wanted to keep from the public.
  9. Apart from all of the other crap, Here's something for everyone to consider: She tried to get books banned from public libraries. Anyone who tries that has no buisness in public office. Making an "adult book section" is one thing, but attempting to get books that you don't like removed alltogether is unamerican.
  10. Oh that reminds me, Sol740 left out; Religious Zealot!
  11. Agree, but that isn't for here. Make new thread k thanks.
  12. She was, 100%, a party mouthpeice. A hood Ornement on the tour Bus. Expect her to hardline everything party related... meaning she'll put party interests before her countries interest. Par for the Republican course. I found it amusing that "community organizer" was brought up repeatedly. this was basically his first job out of school. Are they implying that they are better than a 20something kid? Yehy, go RNC! The speach was stupid, like all VP speaches. It had no meat, and was essentially just a pep talk full of BS. Allot of the stuff she spouted about taxes was flat.out.wrong. No worries, though, no one called her on it because we're all sexist. I'm an old fan of McCain, and his campaign has done nothing but dissapoint me. He's losing my vote every time he releases an attack ad or parades his VP out for the Wal Mart masses.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Esr_okP5Qmo If you want a woman to think you're marriage material, shave your chinstrap.
  14. I agree with every fiber of my being!.... Yes, that one too! I disagree allot, and history will prove me right.
  15. Allot of these guys at the RNC are saying the exact same things about McCain... . . . ...that they said about W. How are we supposed to trust their judgment after a folly like that?
  16. Gay men get all the women, go for it.
  17. Hmm... any chance you could post something not compiled as a propaganda film by a union? Speking of short term solutions to long term problems, I'm watching the DNC now, and Steele is asking "do you want to keep your country first?"... but he follows it with a list of things more akin to putting yourself first; lower taxes, drilling all over the place, "doing whats necessary" against terrorism (patriot act). Doing what makes things easier now is not putting your country first.
  18. Anniversary editions are getting rarer, keep it nice...err, make it nice, then keep it nice!
  19. Just focus on the math, like these gems: -She inherited a city with zero debt, but left it with a deficit of $22+ million. -6 years as Mayor: Increased general government expenditures 33+%. -6 years as Mayor: the amount of taxes collected by the City increased by 38%. -$15,000,000 multi-use sports complex, built on property with no clear title. In litigation for 7 yrs. -In this time of record state revenues and budget surpluses, she supported borrowing for road projects. -While Mayor of Wasilla, tried to fire City Librarian because he refused to consider removing books that she wanted removed. -Needed help of a city administrator to run town of about 5,000 Seriously, fucking with the library distrubs me. Regardless of who reported on it or what they said,t he fact remains that she tried to get books removed from a public library, and that is called censorship. I'd like to see the list of books.... was Ferenheit 451 on there?
  20. I've been bitching about them since the 2004 election, foo!
  21. Ahh, like McCain, right? If your point is that one is no "greater" than the other, then I support that 100%.
