  1. Where did you get your number? Secondly, why would being average among peers make you mad? Perhaps you need to rephrase yet another sentence to make cear exactly what your point is. Yes, bacuse we don't need some one to be active, we just need them to occupy space for a period of time.
  2. His term in the Senate has been more productive than most others, based on what he's done witht e amount of time he's been there. He's sponsored 823 bills, ranging across the entire spectrum of national government. Highlights being work with Nuclear proliferation, health care reform (his largest focus), Ethics and the banning of lobbyist gifts, law enforcement requirements, the list goes on. Rather than propping his feet up and voting on what comes to him, he's been the one doing the real work and bringing bills to congress. You may not agree with some of the stuff he's done, but you simply have to admit that he has been busy. Therefore I counter your ascertion that you are a "very informed voter", perhaps you need to do two tons of research. My information doesn't come from pundits, I take the time to look at the static data. Here's some: Obama has sponsored/co sponsored 823 bills since 2005 (3yrs) McCain has sponsored/cosponsored 1767 since 1993 (15yrs). Going by year, thats 274/yr for Barry, and 117/yr for John. As primary sponsor, the number is 35/yr for John, and 45/yr for Obama. Yes, he has been busy. I'm not sure who I'll vote for, andI'm not ready to endorse one or the other yet, BUT I'm making it a point here to make sure everyone is informed on the subject. It pisses me off when only one side is presented,a nd this is a fairly Red board.
  3. Is that a sentence? Please rephrase, and highlight whatever it is you're specifically trying to reference in my post. You're having to ask me these questions (whatever that question was) because you haven't bothered to read anything on your own. You're listening to what pundits tell you, and you're only paying attention to the ones that are telling you what you want to hear.
  4. Though I wont disagree with this fundementally (), I will disagree in this case. She did all of her great magics in tiny towns and in a piss-ant state. -The entire state of Alasaka has 100,000 fewer citizens than the city of Columbus. -The state has a proportionally huge budget (yay oil) that was being used for allot of crap, lots of fat to trim. -A great deal of the state is populated by self sufficient people who never use governement resources. -Its got two "major" cities and one major highway. Point: It wasn't hard to be a hardcore reformer in such a weaksauce state. She played in the little leagues and won, which can't be compared to big league acomplishments.
  5. Click it skippy.... wait what the fuck? I tried to get there from google and got a dead page!? Sunofabitchbastard! Thanks lol
  6. Yes, you're missing the part where he's making allot of money off of being a US citizen. You're also missing the fact that we all pay into programs that we don't use. Freedom aint free, you pay to play. Explain to me why I should loose a larger chunk of my smaller pie than some goon with 8 houses? Don't give me that "trickle down" crap, it hasn't worked yet. You're confusing Socialism with Society. "Every Man For Himself" is called anarchy, tell me how that's going to work out. There is also the history repeating fact that no one "climbs" their way to the top. The amount of wealth in the world is essentially static, the only way up is to push others down. Period. Every society denies it until something snaps and every wakes up.... a bit too late. That is the other end of the problem. There are people on both ends of the spectrum that are exploiting the system.
  7. Just found out about this app, but it seems to be gone!? It's a toy that lets you play with the universe on a grand scale.
  8. No, it's called paying your fucking taxes. Make more = pay more. What you reap from the country should be proportional to what you have to sew.

  10. That doesn't jive, I think the confusion is the wording: "so thatfamilies who are middle-income individuals making $75,000 a year or less..." What is it, families or individuals? The number I'd seen for the offset payroll tax that I remember was $250k/yr household, and it was from June 2008. The biggest change being that, of the households making 250k (taxable) or more that pay the new tax, they will pay it on the whole of their income, not just the first $102k'ish of it. Edit: backup
  11. needless to say, all of the subsystems of each galaxy would be disrupted. Many of the systems on the fringe would pass right by each other. It would be like running through your ghost car in GT4.... until you got to the cores of each galaxy. Those would "splash" together and screw everything all up. they will pass by each other a few times until their mass finally draws the two together into one. I'd love to see what happens when the supermassive black holes at the cores of each galaxy collide and become one.
  12. Me to. lol But to put it bluntly; who cares? The ultimate reply to everyone saying "He wunt to take are gunz!" is "Wow, good thing he can't do that." I disagree with some of his positions on gun control, but I don't really care about that particular issue because it is beyond the power of president to do anything on that subject on his own. Two stupid things that people allow to influence their vote: -Abortion -Gun rights The president cannot do squat about those without congress. All he does is sign or veto what lands on his desk.
  13. Nothing wrong with being concerned, though you've got some reading to do. You're tax situation would be helped under his policies.... unless you make allot more money than I'm assuming. lol humor me: What is it that you know about his gun policy, and where did you get the info? Everyone seems to think that he's out to steal their weapons, who said this?
  14. Interesting. She wants books banned from public libraries, and likes to fire people who disagree with her. Evidence that she hates lobbyists and opposes earmark spending, just like McCain: Heeeeeeyyyy wait a minute.

  16. Ehh, some other facts: I'm not perfect, nor am I running for office. The office of VP isn't a job, it's a life. In taking the position, she'll either be a distracted VP or horrible mom, there is not going to be a balance. Going by the prevailing wisdom of the party she's running with, she is not "normal". That's likely the exact reason she was seleceted, the poor woman is just a hood ornement on McCains tour bus. all he had to do was run a clean campaign and he probaly would have gotten my vote. Not so much, anymore. Too much Rove-politics. "How will you serve your office when you've got so much going on in your personal life?" is a legitimate question. The Party has been quick to call any questions about the daughter et-al as off limits, and Obama has even backed that up. But given how she purports to be so family oriented, this will definately effect her work and she needs to adress this with voters.
  17. Who names a kid with Down Syndrome "Trig"? Honestly, the kids going to have enough trouble in life.
  18. On this topic: Doesn't anyone else think that she's got a bit too much on her plate to be VP? To say nothing of sending the potential message that knocked-up teenagers are ok, the simple fact that she's got her own down syndrome infant and a pregnant child due to deliver between the election and inauguration... that's allot of crap going on at once. People with regular 9-5 jobs have trouble juggling that. It's actually a bit sick for a party to ask this of her right now. Some math on Palin herself: Married 8 months before her first kid was born. Seems like this runs in the family. Also, look at her kids names: Track Trig Bristol Piper So, gets knocked up, then married, then proceeds to give her children silly made-up names. I'm not saying it's white trash, I'm just saying that stuff is normally seen on springer. Seems a bit silly to to pick some one who identifies with a demographic (white trash) of people who already vote Republican.
  19. Bimmers has been referred to as Sharks since the mid 80's.

  22. It would have cost him more than an F-22. Don't call him on it, he's obviously rich and stupid, make friends with'm.
  23. lol, overt and obvious military movents is far from the KGB way.
  24. Indeed they did! And everyone else stayed the hell out of it. Rest assured that, if some other great empire of the time thought it in their best interests for one to win over the other, the civil war would have had a different outcome. In point of fact, both Brittain and France wanted to aid the south, but they risked all out war with the Union, and no one wanted that. The civil war would have a winner, and no one wanted to risk being on their bad side. The world wanted the souths resources.
