  1. Northwestern group, of just folk from the lima area?
  2. 56ft isn't damn near 70ft. Also, I said wingspan @50ft, also not close to 37ft.
  3. lol, I didn't want to say it. New management and new policies = new company. This isn't like Datsun + Nissan.
  4. Scale it out, skippy. You've got a bunch of people in the foreground. Even if the jet was on the same plane as them, the wingspan would be close to 50ft. It is, in fact, behind them, meaning hte actual length is longer than that. You've also got a larg cargo aircraft in the foreground. I have seen many jet fighters up close, they're big but not that big. Actual pic of the crashing jet? Sure Actual pic of the crowd fromthe wreck? Perhaps But they were 2 different images clipped together.
  5. Holy fuckin awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtfMIiinJso&feature=related
  6. They're also chops. Dude if that's a real pic then the Jet is 70ft long. lol
  7. Actually, the Russians tend to take their Jets seriously. In a real world market, the Sukhoi is the most attractive buy.... due in no small part to the fact that it's the only one for sale (you can't buy an f22). -It's cheap, probably 1/3rd the price of the F22 -It's simple, the F22 is full of maths. Sukhoi jets can historically be fixed with a hammer and a crescent wrench. In a dog fight, who would win? We'll never know, the F22 will take it out before it's ever within visual range. Have you guys seen the actual promo videos selling the Sukhoi jets? Check out what they're shooting down, and tell me who they're marketing to. Kinda reminds me of Robotec/Macross

  9. Dude... are you that bloody stupid? Buckey steel no longer exsists because the people that ran it NO LONGER RUN IT. Same buildings, different company. Buckey Steel wash a shithole, and it tanked. [/story]

  11. srsly? I.E. I stick $150 under my windshield wiper and X days later my windshield is new and pretty?
  12. So, what tour saying is, if I want something that wont need attention 3 times a year, I should look elsewhere? I've heard similar front-end woes from Volvo V70s (also on my list), what bout 4motion VWs and Subaru's? Found a 37k mi Legacy 5spd this weekend, it's got my attention. p.s. Audi's out-option any other wagon on the road. You wont find features like that anywhere else.... but I don't "need" that.
  13. It's not a bad price if she lets me pay in 5 minute increments.
  14. http://www.audiworld.com/news/99/99a6avant/index.shtml Going just by that,I'm sold. Looks like a belt: http://www.audiworld.com/news/99/99a6avant/engine.jpg Looks like a pain in the ass, too.
  15. It's a 2.8 with 93K, time for timing belts? Any idea what that job costs? I cant imagie it would be cheap. I'll be looking to trade a car worth $9,500-10,000 on this (the only local A6 Avant I can find) $7999 car. If the belts haven't been done, I may ask that they do that and some otehr such crap to even the score..... think they'd bite? I'm also leary of a $7999 car who's book value is $10k in "good" (not excellent) condition. I may drive by it today.
  16. Specifically a 99 A6 Avant, but I'm looking for your experiences with the brand, post 1995 or so. Would you consider the cost of ownership to be high? etc.
  17. Holy crap! Some one gave me $100 for that old torque converter!
  18. http://squidcar.com/190.jpg That was my first "family car", just took the stickers off. Plus, the XJ8 suspension and the XJR suspension are very different. It's not limited to just spring rates and dampers either, I beleive there are geometric differences as well. 255 wide tires on all four corners, too. know of any TSBs or recals? Common problems to prepare for? Edit: HA! Tron got a job selling cars! And only he can hook you up! http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/c/cb/180px-Fif.jpg
  19. Exactly what I'm looking to do. Indeed my canoe is heavy, 120lb plus the 9ft oars. Truethfully, roof rails are designed to take the weight of the car (static). I'm not terribly worried about that. This is the Saabaru I'm looking at. These are tough to find, apparently not allot of people are done witht hem yet, so they're not all over the market like WRXs. WRXs can probably be had cheaper, though. Upgrade your STI suspension and give me your OE crap.
  20. Saabs still look better. I can add roof rails to whatever I find (Saab did indeed have them as an option). Trouble with roofrails and the canoe: The roof load rating is higher than the load rating of the rails. The roof will hold the canoe, but rails wont. [/delema] Second, there's only one Saabaru turbo within 100mi for sale, and it's 3 G more than the N/A black sex one for sale locally. I have a fun car, I'm thinking N/A may be the way to go. Brakes? I'd upgrade those anyways. Know where I can get suspension bits that dont lower the car? I.E. good rally bound and height?
  21. Option 2; Where to get a Lexan sheet that big?
  22. I plead the 5th. I'm over protective of it it, pretty much. I wont strap my canoe to the top of it, though the roof can support a house (it's also the only car I have that's longer than the canoe). I wont put a hitch on it, though the car can pull homes. I don't let my boy eat in it, even though leather wipes up easy. I wont drive it in snow, even though its got LSD and traction control I spend too much time waxing it, I don't keep myself this clean It floats down the highway, but I wont take it on long vacation trips. It runs with a quickness, but I don't want to open lap it. I need a workhorse, not a work of art.
  23. http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtbird287v8 Cobra Center caps 4.6 SOHC MAF 5.0 Flexplate High Stall converter
  24. I need one, and had one offered to me (free) less than 20mi away, but I need to pull it myself. I've never done this, and am pretty sure I'd fuckup royaly if I just went n with the assumptions I have now. Tools? Machinery? Technique? Thanks in advance
  25. k.... are you buying? May be a next-winter project. Magazine tests have liked them, though.
