  1. Dude, have you ever been exposed to the scum of the earth? If you think that's fucked up, I've got some prison stories for you. People regularly get killed for allot less. Ever hear of people sniping paramedics and fire fighters in gang territory? It's not a myth. They didn't want anyone staying around period, probably because half of them have warrants. "Ohh you want to take this guy to a hospital and tell him what happened? Whacha gon tell them when they ask where and who hit him? Naw, ya not takin nobody nowhere." You can see everything you need to know about that group by watching what they did after the accident; most of them bolted. See above comment about warrants.
  2. Get a turbo 22RE an run it at about 20lb. It'll take it, and make your mustang fast.

  4. Still too expensive and too damn hard to find. However, pick'n'pull is full of 4A-FEs, so many that I stopped counting. Also found a 4A-F and 2 7A-FEs. Complete engines are only $160ish without core.

  6. I'm not trying to make it go fast, I'm trying to make it less slow. It's no crx, but the showroom weight was 2200lb. "Run for a day" means all day....all of it.
  7. Because cams are $225, and very labor intensive. This engine only has to run for a day. A "power pack" from the only company that makes performance bit for this engine is $600 and only gives 40 more peak hp. I found some BFE lab that state there's 2.2 cfm per hp, so 275 cfm will support 123hp, just what I need.
  8. So, this guy claims: 275cmf 1.2 - 2.3 lb of boost That's not enough to keep up with the sucking of your average engine...but. I've got an 87hp engine and I'm searching for a non-invasive and cheap 100+hp. I know at least one person here did a leaf blower. lol Can anyone help me develop this idea on paper? It's carbed engine 1.6l ohv Question 1: Now, since a carb draws fuel from vacuum, does that mean that I'll have to run a box if I make .001lb of boost? Or can I blow through the carb as long as I keep it low? Question 2: Will I need the boost to vary with revs? I.E. run it off of a transformers that speed up and slow down the electric motor with the engine RPM? Or, since boost= pressurized system, do I just plug it in, turn it on, and provide a weak BOV for when the throttle plate closes? It looks like I can have the power I want in a manner that can be easily removed if it fails. I'm wanting to plan it all out on paper first.

If you want stopping power for home defense, scratch the 2 gun strategy, take the money and get a single .45 or .50. Strategy man, "big and impressive" isn't going to help you in a dark hallway.   15. What have you got? Looking for dirtass cheap, effectively going to be beating on them with hammers. Prefer no bigger than 15", but tell me what you've got, just need spares. These will be for a RWD car.
  16. The kabash, it seems, will come from the 22REs front sump, it just doesn't jive with the AE86 K member and rack. Though not comfortable for the driver...what if we put the engine completely behind the K? Great for the COG.

  18. I've run into this problem everywhere on AE86 boards. I'm not frustrated with you directly, I like you. But it just seems like EVERY time some one asks abou a certain engine swap, everyone replies with "No, you need to....". If I wanted to swap a 4AGE, I would have asked about one! lol Anyways, back on point: It will most certainly not be cheaper to do anything compared to the 22RE, because I've found an entire Celica GT with a fresh rebuild thats been wrecked, $500 is the asking price. That gives me almost all of the things you mentioned, PLUS a set of wheels that will swap. Junkyard warrior build, mang. Seeeeee thars a reason that I asked specifically about the 22RE. p.s. if you know of a 3TC somewhere for a similar price, I'd be interested. Back when Toysport was good, they sucessfully raced a 22RE AE86, layed to waste a pair of GTS's too.
  19. I wanna know everything that I haven't already read. What free mods are there for this engine? What are the dimensions? What do they weigh? I want to swap a celica 22RE+trans in place of a 4AC in a certain 2000lb car, wondering how far forward/back/high it will sit. I'm not finding ANYONE who's done this swap, except Toysport in 1985, and I can't find any infor on the car.
