  1. Not broken, it's "schmutzed". Also, no full coverage. I welded too close to it, so you guys remember my mistake.
  2. Why do people eat this shit? I've never made contact with Castle food, the smell is enough to keep me away. Aren't you the guy that, in other threads, claimed to know what was healthy for the masses, and claimed to keep the nasty shit away from his family?
  3. Wow, it sure doesn't suck to me. Thanks for sharing this. I think anyone whos had to sit through a day of hearings or trials is bound to leave with a sad story or two, but that one tops it out. I hope that shithead gets killed in prison, killed in the ass.
  4. No, I don't have a digital camera! It looks like a used torque converter, came with a car that I bought from one of the owners of Lasota. I put less than 2000 miles on it, not sure how much use it had before that, I just know it worked. So, considering what's up on the table (A Camera that costs $80-$100 new and a TC that costs $300ish new, both in working order), I'd say you're getting a good deal. I don't need the TC anymore, but I do want an abusbable camera, so this is an easy deal for me. What part of Columbus are you in? I won't be back up there until the weekend, but could organize a meeting in the mean time. I've also got 2 Contintal SportContacts, 225/45ZR17, 1/4" tread left.
  5. Anyone here do this? It doesn't look like something that I'd want to do myself. Any idea what it will cost? I haven't priced the glass yet, I'm totaly green on this one. 1991 Mercury cougar (Will take glass from 89-97 Thunderbirds/cougars, and 93-98 Lincols Mark 8s).
  6. Hmm, question: Would you trade it for a TCI 3500 stall torque converter? I noticed you have a mustang, I have one from a 5.0-AOD setup. I've also got a king cobra clutch plate...I think, will have to check. Just a thought. If so, I'm all over it. If not, I'll have to do some more reading. I don't want to sink the ad by posting numbers, but they can be had NIB cheaper (including shipping) elsewhere on the net.
  7. Prevent that by voting in the Dem Primary. I'm doing everything in my power to prevent the American Idiot masses from being able to vote for her.
  8. That's bloody cheap, even as new. I know next to nothing about digi'cams.... Videos: how long can it record? How big of a memory card can fit in it?
  9. Somebody preparing for the zombie Apocalypse?
  10. Hobs: Did you manage to get out there? If not, I'm going to go back in the morning. Will they let me bring a saw? If anyone grabbed a spindle, post before 7:30 AM, 'else I'm getting my own.
  11. I didn't see any. You could check to see if the part number is shared with anything, seems like something ford might use over and over.
  12. ATTN ALL, MAKE MONEYZ: I just got back, I ran out of time a tools. I managed to get only Drivers side hardware. Because I didn't have the right tools, I had to buy the upper control arm, too. Even so, both parts only set me back $20.95. I need the passenger side spindle, and I've done almost all the work. I'll pay $40 for it. The car is a green cougar toward the back of the ford section, it is facing a white lincoln town car. I've gotten almost everything off but the upper and lower control arms. If you can get it loose from those, you'll pay less than $20 for the part, and you'll sell it for $40. If that one gives you trouble, you can pull the passenger side spindle from any thunderbird or Cougar that they have, except for one. Luckily, the one that wont work still has all of its wheels on, so it's easy to spot and easier to avoid. I'm in town until sunday, so if anyone can get this part I will be extremely greatfull!! Edit: This should require a 18mm and a 24mm combination wrench, as well as a torque multiplier bar....I just used another comb wrench. I picked this car because it was already mostly pulled apart. Also, this is a 4.6 V8 car, so if you wanted one of those "Mark 8 electric fans", this has one. It also has a 4R70W transmission, if you're looking for one to build.
  13. They advertise $150ish engines, right? I'd imagine I could grab a couple of spindles for what I'm looking to spend.

  15. Another addition in the intrests of helping: You don't have to fuck up to die. This is something I was lucky enough to learn the hard way and not be claimed by it. Just because you're in control of your car does not mean that everyone else is. Columbus is known for cars changing lanes 3 at a time with no signal, I've almost been taken out by other drivers twice. Regarding your 50,000mile experience: Gas must be killing you. Consider this, everyone here has more miles than you, more experience than you, and we're all telling you to slow down and take it easy...why? Because, the end result of all that experience is the realization that the daytime streets are not the place to fuck about. I put 100,000miles on my Tbird over 3 years, including multiple track days and racing events, I was very comfortable and very competant with that car...and I layed the hell off it when cars were around....at the end, anyways. Learn from what you're reading, and don't "settle it on the street". That last part is for the simple fact that all the people here who actually still street race are much MUCH faster than you....and they're a bit exclusive. I would be, too.
  16. Addendum: I'm going to try and get down there thurdsay or friday morning, anyone else going to be there? Correct me if I'm wrong: -I show up with tools, pay $1 to get in, and get my own damn parts? Do they take any payment other than cash?
  17. I'm actually going to be in town thursday-sunday, I might be able to go with ya. My schedule is a bit full of family events. Thunderbirds are easy, Cougars are not (didn't change much from 91 to 95, will need to check the door sticker). The spindle difference is simple and obvious: http://www.frontiernet.net/~miketoni/images/tbird/spindlecomp.jpg In most cases, you should be able to peek through the wheel and see. The older ones have cast iron bits (as part of the spindle) that work as a brake pad braket. Later models went with a mustang-like caliber arrangement. Thunderbirds from 89 to 92 will have either of these two noses, AND a thin plastic strip down the door: http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/how-muscle-cars-work-10.jpg http://www.tccoa.com/rides/pics/dufjak.jpg After that, the second ugly nose went away, and the door strips got wider and became painted. http://www.tccoa.com/rides/pics/jayton.jpg The SCs stayed pretty much unchanged from 89 to 93, you'll have to look in the wheels or check the door sticker. The differences got more obvious after that, the nose will do. 94-95: http://www.tccoa.com/rides/pics/andyb.jpg 96-97 http://www.tccoa.com/rides/pics/groeri.jpg 96-97 Cougar, the grill is round, as opposed to the old trapazoids: http://www.tccoa.com/rides/pics/bonbre.jpg Door stickers will have the production date. Keep in mind, XXXX model year cars becan production the fall before. Any and every Lincoln Mark 8 will work, and I need rear suspension stuff from them as well.
  18. You cant do that, it is the entire basis of the argument. The fact is, all flesh is meat, fish, birds, and animals. The only place where a line is drawn is relgion. They do it for many reasons, ranging from purity to an ecological hierarchy. All muscle is meat. Re: Bits of fruit and "meat" to describe intagibles...just secondary uses for the word, based on the fact that the meat is good, important, and gets things done.
  19. I faught th the law with a much better case than you, there's no way you'll get anything but a bigger fine. I got a severly reduced fine when I faught, but I had a genuine case; I wasn't speeding. Pay, and remove your window tint. Actually, per the constitution and a few other Ohio laws, they kinda are. You have a righgt to view all evidence that your accusors are trying to use against you. That said, you won't get out of squat if he zero'd the gun and can't show you. It will be word vs word, and the Judge will always side with the cop unless it's obvious that he's a tool. Mine lied repeatedly during the trial, but I had noting to disprove it but my word.
  20. Reitterating the fire hazard aspect, because it's a real threat. Put the thing ouside. Regarding thawing: Don't get a frozen bird! Hell, kill it yourself if you can.
  21. No, you're an idiot if you don't learn from other peoples mistakes, too. How many mistakes have you made to give you such a wealth of driving knowlege? You're also failing to realize that driving mistakes will put you in the dirt, there's nothing to be learned when you're dead. Keep in mind, I'm not trying to get angry with you or anything. If we really thought you were a tool, you'd be banned. If you want to have some fun and learn something, save your cash for this april, you'll need $200-$300 and a weekend to spend at Mid Ohio with your car.
  22. Listen close pallie: I never said I was wishing anything, go back and read it again. I dont want you to wreck, I don't want you hurt and I damn sure don't want you fucking up the scenery or hitting a kid. We've all seen enough accidents. It was a prediction, not a wish, there is a difference. It is based off of your cocky attitude toward driving, outlined here: A: This says nothing. You're touting your driving prowess by comparing it to 17 year olds, a population of ignorant fools. So, you're smarter than idiots, congrats. B: What the hell are you trying to prove with that statement? The more to try to convince us that you know, the more ignorant you look. Please understand that a kid saying "It's ok, I know what I'm doing" is so stupid that it's painful, and that is BECAUSE of our experiences, outlined here: He is absolutely right, EVERYONE here has been an idiot. We also remember that, as an idiot, we thought that it would hard to find a 17yr old who can handle a car like i can. We're calling you an idiot because you need to hear it. If you keep on tooling around like you're a young driving god, a pole will find you. You better hope it's a pole, and not a minivan or a playground that you "drift" into. Everyone thinks they're a bad ass until they fuck up. We're not jumping your case because we're better than you, we're doing it because we WERE you. I'm sure all of us have seen all the accidents that we care to see. I saw a Cobra with 3 dicks in it hit and ROLL an Explorer full of people it trying to show off on 315. That driver sure was a bad ass! Me? I've done 140-150mph through the 670 curve under high street. Luck has kept me alive, not skill. Skill only matters on a track, and even there it's still 75% luck.
  23. I'll be looking for you on the news, there's a pole somewhere with your name on it. I was young and drove agressively, but at least I took some classes. I also didn't give anyone the chance to be pissed, I avoid people as much as I can.
