  1. I might be inclined to mention the dead pictures in there... but dude, you can write, which made up for the lack of visuals.
  2. I see a bunch or people AT THE GAME watching a TV showing THE GAME THAT THEY'RE AT! What the hell is wrong with people?
  3. And if the USA had todays rules in place 200 years ago, 90% of our population wouldn't be here today. Your ancestors did exactly what the Illegals are doing now; they did what to could to come here so they could work. The only difference is the word of law; The children of all those immigrants essentially shut the door behind them, preventing anyone else from having it as good as they have it. "It was ok for my great Grandpa, but you're a horrible person for trying it".
  4. You should hear it. It sounds like a crime against nature.
  5. lol We've been using some form of slave labor in our fields for about 3 centuries, it's not that easy a habit to kick. See that stuff in bold? Yeah that stuff never happens. Ever. The price is passed on tot he consumer. What's going to happen is this; Domestic grown products will become more expensive than Chinese dust-bowl grown products, and they'll be priced out of the industry... and they'll become a John Cougar Mellencamp song. That's how capitalism works. Then make citizenship easier. If you look at how these people are living, it's exactly the same way as many Americans lived during the depression; Working wherever they can, making whatever they can make, living in large groups in small places, doing whatever they can to bust-ass and get by. They're more American than the welfare addicts that won't do the work. . . . Hey, lets deport people who stay on welfare too long, and give they're citizenships to working illegals.
  6. It wouldn't be "a little" more, and everyone else may not be on the same page. Additionally: " Restaurants have become used to cheap labor and doesn't want to raise wages enough to draw in better busboys." " Stable owners have become used to cheap labor and doesn't want to raise wages enough to draw in other shit-shovelers." " KFC has become used to cheap labor and doesn't want to raise wages enough to draw in sober workers." It goes on and on. They're paid for what they do, and what they do is pull on a think until it comes off, then they put it in a bag. Not skilled labor, it's not worth more than minimum wage, and it's not something that legal folk want to do.

  9. A lazy sense of entitlement among contemporary Americans. The lack of welfare back in the day helped bring us great books like Of Mice and Men. "Migrant Worker" used to mean Unemployed American with boots.
  10. There is the reason.... the reason fruit is cheap. Double the farmers overhead costs and that will translate into higher prices everywhere. Welfare IS too easy to get. Maybe they should send you off to the farms after 6 months of welfare/unemployment benifits. You only get to ride for so long, then you've got to work.
  11. Unemployed and sick of Illegals taking american jobs? Here's a website where you can take them back. Not getting much response, though. Odd. Article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100624/ap_on_en_tv/us_immigration_take_our_jobs
  12. Here's what's happening: I'm making a metal rear bumper for the car. I'm on the fence on weather I should make the bumper all metal or use bits of the bumper cover for the complex curves... this means cutting it up. Or I could sell it and use the money to fund the project. Better yet, I could find some one with a damaged bumper and trade them, provided their bumper has what I need in it. My cover is in decent shape. Nothing huge, but there are some scratches and dings from loading stuff into the rear of the car. http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/5093/bumpercover.jpg http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/1633/ding.jpg Core support looks like a core support, lil black plastic supports on either side can be yours if you want them. http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/8911/bumperv.jpg $200obo for everything, pick-up only, though I'm willing to drive a bit, let me know. Trade deals are on a case-by-case basis.
  13. ... that ends with "I swear to god I’ll cut you in places that will never heal."

  15. Fisting was ok for the kids, but they gotta leave for the visual aids. This guy is laughing on the inside, he's getting hundreds of conservatives to watch soul-scarring gay porn, and I salute him for it.
  16. Hop in, we'll take the car-pool lane.
  17. No fair citing ancient times. Back then $3.35 would get you some decent knickerbockers and a pair of Bluchers!
  18. I read this today and thought I'd pass it on, because it is absolutely true: If you fail at that last one (by "keepin it real") you ultimately fail at life. Period.
  19. No wai! I even made $5 an hour for my first violation-of-labor-laws job. Were you Jackin your families lumber? Is that the right lingo? They probably don't smoke like a chimeny, drink like a fish, have a "personal pharmacist", shell out child support (or have to support kids without it), or have any of the other fun extra expenses that "Keepin it real" gets you.
  20. My first taxable job paid $5.65. So Ha! I suck more than you!
  21. I started at much less. I've been employed in some way, almost non stop, since I was 12.
  22. I see a lot of people bitching with no coherent reasons for it. Seems there's a small segment of conservatives who are, and will forever be, bitter as hell that they lost the last election. Additionally, did I get dinged for starting a "political thread" a few months back? The reason being "no political threads"? This aggravates me to no end, because... and I hate to hurt your feelings, but that is not why you didn't get the job. I really wish employers would stop trying to be nice and actually tell interviewee's the real reason they don't get hired, so they have something to improve on. Back in highschool I started working in a warehouse and production facility, not long after my 18th birthday. making $8.50 and hour. Zero experience, knew no one at the place so no nepotism. Responded to the paper ad and interviewed. You don't need experience to do that work, I was running the place in under a year. Experience is not necessary, you either got lied to or their standards are too high. This is why you don't have a job. Everyone has to put up with BS for shit pay at the beginning of their "professional career", even/especially people with degrees, who the hell do think you are? You expect to shoot ahead in line, in front of everyone else who's looking for a job, because you think you're awesome?
  23. Not nearly often enough. Would make the Enzite commercials more fun.
