  1. Actually, their technology sector is growing much quicker than ours. In 10 years they'll be well ahead of us.... but hey, at least we have the Creation Museum. There's no video because its just a helicopter with a searchlight. You leave the shutter open and it streaks across the film. The red dots on the 'ufo" are a blinking light on the chopper.
  2. Oh, I mean "UFO" http://www.latimes.com/sns-viral-video-chinese-airport-ufo-story,0,6561019.htmlstory Somebody left their shutters open.
  3. Looking throught e DMV site (which sucks), I'm not seeing anything for small private trailers. I'm getting a 48"x48" utility trailer, don't want to be pulled over by bored OHP.

  5. Taxi Driver. I got them all.... which makes me a looser
  6. Then you haven't been listening. This oil patch is the largest known untapped supply in the world. Why would BP spend so much money pushing the limits of technology to build the deepest ocean drilling operation in history... if it were just anther well? IIRC it's between 500,000,000 and 1 Billion barrels in it.
  7. Or maybe it's frikin Budapest, where there are only 3 SUVs and the pickups are small. Will it take my Reliant Robin?
  8. How long thill his book/movie deal? http://nau.live.mediaspanonline.com/barefoot-bandit2010-07-11T11-55-30
  9. I need help transporting a Chrysler Imperial to Budapest for an experiment.
  10. http://www.woehr.de/en/projekte/budapest_m730/index.htm Seems more complicated that the Tokyo stacks. Reminds me of the Napa warehouse.
  11. Guys wake up, I can't get my dinner outta here without thumbs!
  12. Did you read it? The whole problem that the articls is panicing about is the fact that the seabed is fractured and unstable. Way different geology there than in Russia.
  13. look back at our periods of greatest technological acheivement... they coincide with wars, big ones. Now look at how Chinese technology was so far ahead of everyone elses for so long. Why? Because they were always on their toes, constantly being challenged by beligerant neighbors to build the better death trap. Largest Naval Battle in human history, any guesses? It goes without saying that it was between Chinese combatants, because it's in this thread. Have a guess at which ocean/sea it was fought in... nope nope not even close It was on a fucking lake. It involved close to a million men and hundreds of ships... on a lake 1/4 the size of lake erie.
  14. There have been some rumors/theory to this effect for a while, though this article points out that the actions being taken by BP are consistent with it, and they're just not straight up saying it. http://www.examiner.com/x-33986-Political-Spin-Examiner~y2010m7d8-BP-Gulf-disaster-Relief-well-progress-and-media-blackout-paint-a-grim-picture-Video-photos At those pressures, it makes you wonder if they actually had any chance of running Deepwater Horizon successfully, even if the thing was setup perfectly. That's a hell of a lot of pressure.
  15. Caption: Tah Dah! http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/2/9/6/1615692.jpg Look at the deflection in the starboard wing, that's a hard touchdown.
  16. So burned by yourself then? You ask for it, and nobody goes to the trouble of grinding you up if they don't like you. I'd go for it, though I'd want my bones to remain. I'd make a great album cover.
  17. That's not the vibe I got from the reactions. It looked to me like they have a pretty firm grasp of the feudal history of their country; A lot of those commenters don't trust the Chinese people to have guns. If everybody was equally equipped to kill the shit out of eachother like in the old days, China would be a patchwork of City-States with borders moving every 5 years.... but the overpopulation problem would be under control.
  18. ...because it was on fire: http://www.wsbt.com/news/local/Red-Cross-Family-dog-tried-to-pull-baby-out-of-burning-home-98024604.html That'll do pig.
  19. This is 100% real, and it's normally strictly forbidden to film or photograph it. The idea is to get every bit of you aloft with the birds. Is being eaten by worms better? It goes like this: 1: You Die 2: Funeral service, respects paid, etc. 3: You're carted off to a high spot away from the villiage, often theres a sacred rock for this. 4: Some one you picked, a brother, BFF, Monk, is charged with feeding you to the birds. He flays you to make it easier, constantly scoops bits of you up to make sure you're eaten, and in the end, he grinds your bones up with grain to make sure you all get eaten. In the end, nothing is left.
  20. They aught to charge to leave. No fees to get onto Indian lake, just long lines occasionally.
  21. Nuke space! http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=128170775&ft=1&f=1026
  22. Yeah, and fixing it is going to take a long time... or it's going to hurt bad. The lake has a lot of surface area and not much deapth, so it just kind of "reduces" like a stew; water evaporates and the nasties stay. The quickest fix would be to drain the thing, plow the crap up and burn it, then let it refill. It's not a natural lake so you can't really rely on any "natural proccesses" to cycle through. The damn thing is only about 10ft at its deepest, there's probably more water in Alum Creek.
