  1. its old Jag, so its cool. graemlins/thumb.gif
  2. Basicaly, as physics states; Electromagnetism > Gravity by ALOT. At least, within the 3 dimensions we can move around in.
  3. about 50,000 sq ft. tongue.gif I'm rolling around the idea of a cheap A/C unit on a stand to keep some people cool in a warehouse. They'll be within about 6 ft of it all the time. So, set it on 60, it'll never get tjhat cool, thus the T-stat will keep it running all the time. Now, how much power will that use, since if it's big, it'll figure into overhead.
  4. wheels would be a bad idea because where they meet the housing would be the most critical point in the motor, compression would rely on a tight fit, almost an interference fit. But, if you have that, you have force and friction, and very very short bearing life.
  5. 2 questions; Can one run on high for 8 hours straight without having problems? Can one be used in the open, close proximity of people? i.e. Do they emit any fumes? looking to cool an area by a little, rather then a room by alot.
  6. "Tyranus" was not uttered during the stabbing, instead, it was the main characters name...what the fuxxor?
  7. no power needed for acceleration....Either you're pondering movement in one of the 11 dimensions required in M Theory, or you need to go back to the "intro to physics" chapter in your 7th grade science book. I'm guessing it's the latter. graemlins/nonono.gif
  8. Don't be suprised if you're dissapointed by Russia. It may be beutiful, but 90% of it is also destitute. STDs are as common as the hookers, so dont be tempted. tongue.gif
  9. saturday night is the womans highschool reunion, and for some reason she wants to show me off.
  10. The pic is a link, Brandon. Google Search XJ13. tongue.gif http://stuweb.ee.mtu.edu/~jahorgos/Jaguar%20XJ13%20V12%20Large.jpg

  12. never. Too expensive, short term trial run, something for the hippies to like. Just start making LPG conversion kits for cars and all will be gravy.
  13. Sailboats cant go against the wind, either. The cut across it and sig-zag in its direction. Think of it like a fan blade following a line rather then a circumference. The pointof mentioning the wind pushing it seems to just be that moves so smoothly that it take very little force to power it. It cant steer with wind, it can only move downwind. powered by old dutch guy It actualy looks esier to push then my car, which is about the same weight. Locomotion is controlled by a crankshaft, though, not an eccentric shaft.
  14. When the hampster gets stuck, call some one with experience. graemlins/thumb.gif
  15. wow this is bad.....this...wtf? Are they makingit up as the go along? Christ how shity.

  17. He actualy does have a point about it getting over sand better then a wheel. He's apparently one of those brilliantly mad guys. tongue.gif

  19. Excersize > diet. If you have to pick one to direct your focus on, pick excersize.
  20. yeah, like a said, a bit nuts. Make it out of hardened steel and power it with a nasty turbo deisel or twon, and you'd have a bad ass APC. graemlins/thumb.gif .....how?
  21. http://www.strandbeest.com/animaris%20rhinoceros%20transport_en.html Weird fella, but the locomotion on that thing is frickin sweet. Its so fluid that wind can power it, no more drag then a pair of big wheels.
  22. same as the rotary, with death. Its a great utilitarian concept, but it's doubtfull that it will power anything with weight. You need asemetry to create real power and torque.
