  1. K! I'll take one of those, too. Anyone have an LCD TV?
  2. My TV is starting tto make a dethsound, sounds liek loose voltage in the back of the tube. I've been looking at new plasmas but figure that there are Technofiles here that may be upgrading and getting rid of something that would be a bigger upgrade for me.

  4. I'd actually considered a kit, but I'm not sure I like the way it works. It's really a true lift, it's more like a frame lift and leaves all of my mechanicals low and vulnerable. I'll probably look into forester shocks, they're supposedly a bit taller.
  5. He could do plastic surgery
  6. Actually, I was stuck about 100ft from where your jeep parked in your sig pic. The high trail, furthest from the river. You aught to know the pit. . Show me pics of your jeep going through when it's sloppy.
  7. Just got out from under the car. I scraped off some undercoating and chipped an OEM foglamp. Undamaged otherwise. I was expecting to have pwnt an exhaust pipe or two.
  8. way too much effort put into a horrible porno.
  9. Helmets and riding gear is for Pussies! Those guys are hardcore.
  10. Nope, the come-along uses mechanical advantage and will actually yank the vehicle out of the hole itself, one crank at a time. Like I said, mine was hung up so bad that the suspension was unsprung. We had to use the come'a'long to drage teh acar over the log/rock before I had any hope of putting power down.
  11. Google; Deadman Anchor. It's common in climbing, too. You set something with gobs of surface area into a hole and run a line at a shallow angle toward it. The spare tire/log/ice axe is being forced against the dirt/snow/sand, which doesn't move.
  12. That's a great idea! i'd been trying to come up with ways to make a dirt-anchor, but never though of using my spare as a deadman. Unfortunatley, I'd have had better luck digging ou thte car in this case. Teh soil is a mix of clay'dirt and gravel, and it was only wet in the pit because of a spring. Trying to dig a deadman without an excavator would have taken days. lol Something else to consider, a Bollard. It require more line, but you dig a teardrop shaped trench a foot deep, rather than one big hole 3ft deep: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ejAk42p7jdY/SFK7tYnrdKI/AAAAAAAABG4/F49OBBSsRa8/s400/Snow-bollard-705505.JPG
  13. ... Thank them for me. Took a lil side trip today, someplace I've been many times. I've driven around this mudhole numerous times, but it was a bit wioder these times and my tires are f'kin worn and worthless. Slid sideways right into it, settled with a log/rock wedged under my rocker. I was so hung up that my suspension was unsprung. I always carry straps and a come'a'long, but there was nothing to tie to, so I got out my folding shovel and started digging at the log. Half way through, two fishermen showed up, offered to help. Backed their pickup to my car, strapped it to the hitch, and the come along yanked it right out. Offered them all my cash for the trouble and they wouldn't take it. Top notch men. The car? Undamaged... ish. The front bumper got a tweak, but it happens often, bends right out. Undercarriage is fine.
  14. As my parents once told me: "You're grounded." I spent the first half of the vid saying "Don't stand up don't stand up don't stand up..." Then I gave up.
  15. Those are pretty good when it comes to damaged property, but if some one gets hurt or otherwise gets a big enough bug up their ass, they can challenge that in court and cause all sorts of trouble. The LAPD acctually organized something like that back in the 70's or 80's. Huge success, so of course the citizens bitched and had the program stopped.
  16. Read everything you signed twice, make sure you didn't sign something without knowing. If you're clear, they're liable. I'm not sure about the BBB, because it's not threatening if the business doesn't give a shit. Any guy who would just blow you off on the phone like that probably doesn't realize how important reputation is, so he may scoff at the BBB. The Ohio Attorney Generals office, not so much. http://www.ag.state.oh.us/citizen/consumer/complaints.asp Also, they didn't do the job right regardless, so don't pay them until it's done. Lastly, driving through the vacant lot may not have been an option if you don't own it, and they didn't have legal permission to be there. Does this company have a name?
  17. Don't need to slow down for railroad tracks...... I mean railroading.
  18. I'm going to have to contest with this line of logic by arguing on the internet. Wanna?
  19. Tell me how going twice as fast and hitting the same water would be better?
  20. Superformance kit car, that's the best thing that could have happened to it.
  21. What of the rumors that Subaru was developing a RWD sports car? I think that may suit that layout better. Looks good, but the side profile needs work. It will definitely get more headroom before production.
  22. http://www.ufodigest.com/news/0509/ROSWELL-DEBRIS.php Neato
  23. I was just informed that I will not be making it.
