Saw that, great deal indeed. I'm well aware of my new-tire option, but am very budget minded at the moment and I'm looking to save what I can by buying used. Plus they've been heat cycled.

They're French. In France, it's not art unless it's ugly.

Umm.... neat? http://auto.freedomblogging.com/2009/03/04/the-car-that-runs-on-air-the-airpod-is-here/ Does it come with an emergency foot pump?

Performance minded, but cheap. Only really need to last a season of transit driving and maybe some lapping.

Never even heard of it:

I would thing the burning sensation from the stomach acids would be a turn off. But who knows, if he's used to dirty sluts, he may be used to burning sensations.

Anyone watch Top Gear on BBC America tonight?

They quoted the factory stated MPG at the beginning, but their observed MPGs were higher. -
Pike Peak is for ballsy rally drivers or sight seeing pussies. Longs Peak, do it. Getting the top the easy way is usually a 16 hour trip on a good day. It’s got a feature called “The Diamond" on it's the east face (the west face is on the Colorado Quarter). 9822 ft of prominence, 14,255ft above sea level. If you just want to throw yourself off of something really high, the Diamond itself can offer you a 2000+ft drop past a million square feet of flat granite on your way to your maker. The view from the summit takes in miles and miles of the Colorado Rockies to the North, West and south, and The Great Plains to the east. At the top, the Eastern horizon is 130miles away. If you're going to climb a mountain, climb a mountain. http://verivista.com/Trips/LongsPeak/LongsPeakSummitfacingEast.jpg http://estes.on-line.com/rmnp/pics/diamond.jpg http://www.math.unl.edu/~rwiegand1/Diamond/ChasmView.jpg http://matthewbatesphotography.com/images/longs_peak_diamond_2.jpg http://www.photohome.com/pictures/colorado-pictures/mountains/longs-peak-1a.jpg

This is true... but are Uh'mercunz too lazy to do that math? 200% mpg > 20% price increase. -

Very true. It bugs me that they left that out, though. Public ownage of the Prius makes life worth living. -
Did you notice something missing from the Switzerland to Blackpool race? The end stats. For some reason, they omitted the boys explaining that their diesels all got 50mpg+: 63mpg in the Subaru Legacy wagon 80mpg in the VW polo 53mpg in the massive Jag Also the quote: "Why buy would anybody buy a Prius"? I've never seen them clip from a show until now. Coincidence that it happened to be the most mind blowing moment of the show?

Like, next to your car, or back on a trail? If your up for a hike, check out Charlies Bunion.... it's prettier than it sounds. Be bear safe, no perfume. I'd quiz you if I were at the register, then I'd overcharge you more for being a poseur.

What kind of camping are you wanting to do?

My agenda? What agenda? I've got freinds and family in the sand, and I pay taxes. My "agenda" is to not waste money on silly "hood ornament" shit like this and the MOAB. Money should be spent on practical combat solutions that benefit the soldiers in the feild. The HULC does not fit that description, thus I hope that our tax dollars are not going into it. The video is clearly a sales pitch by lockheed martin, so I'm hoping that means that they've spent their own money, and are trying for a return. That also means that they consider the development to be done. That's actually where it began. It's been in development for almost a decade (some folk are actually familiar with the subject, beyond what was in that video), and was concived to help the sick and elderly get around. IIRC they're even experimenting with nursing home staff and nurses, to help them lift patients. Hell, it might even be a nifty first aid thing to keep int he back of the hummer, to help the injured get to da choppah. That is the where this tech belongs, not in the sand/mud/snow/woods/saltwater being lugged around by guys that are getting shot at.
-
When was the last time you checked? Go ask said soldier if he'd want to drag that heap into the feild with him. I'll bash any military funding that isn't practical, because practical is tactical. Take the cash from that crap and put it toward armor. Hell, use it to develop lighter equipment. Gels that stop bullets and shrapnel = cool. "Exo skeletons" that require power, software, maintenence, at the cost of flxibility and silent movement... not so much. If you want them to cover flat trail at 10mph (because you know their 7-10mph estimate was based on level ground), give them an ultra light mountian bike and a quarter the price. Gee sounds great. If there's one thing I know better thanmost, it's how to cover terrain on foot. Unless you're out of shape, this device does not allow you to do that better. It's a loader. Give it to the guys working the docks, or to soldiers who have to lug around anti-materiel weapons for short distances. Teh tech is quite awsome, but it's wasted on the exo skeleton. Build a bigger biped frame with more power (longer life), armor it and equip an arm with a 30mm gun. Much more usefull.

All of which benefit some Americans some where. The above is "HEY LOOK, we made a really expensive thing that allows soldiers to do things that they're already doing!" Do you really want manuer to go unmanaged?
-
http://blog.wired.com/defense/2009/02/lockheed-exo.html I hope the gubmint didn't fund the development for this trash. It's a great idead for cripples, though.

Air down the tires a bit and lean side to side. The one you lean on will compress and you'll go that way.

I'm almost entirely lost on greek.... fortunately, Greece's national motto IS "Freedom or death", it's written all over their patriotic stuff.... right next to "FUCK TURKEY!" usually. -

To me, it will always say that you would rather be dead than not drunk'n'fucking like ol' Liber.... watch out for that syphilis You could stick with Greek: Ελευθερια η θανατος -

Your sig pic contains two different languages, and the Latin translates; Liber* or dead. I'm just sayin'. *Liber just means "free", and in a latin sentence rarely means anything on it's own; it needs an ending, a suffix, to make it fit in the sentence. The way you have it listed, it's a proper noun. Lucky you, it's a god of booze and fucking. Mortuus just means "dead", and needs to refer to some one or something... like Liber. If you take out "vel", your sentence says "Liber is dead" (probably cirrhosis or syphilis). You have many good options for "death". For your purpose, I'd go with Nex, since it refers to violent death as in; Nex pro inhonesto / death(in battle) before dishonor. Latin doesn't work like English, you can't take the same approach when building a sentence.
