I took my A+ about 13 years ago. I passed but this was right after college and before i had begun my career, so i was super nervous going into the test. I did some pre-tests and i think i had a book that i also studied.

1st thought, the energy it takes to spin up 3 small turbos would be equal to or great than just spinning up 1 turbo. This might be negated because they will be much closer to the head and allow more energy closer to the turbo, but its hard to say. 2nd thought, article says 3 small turbos might be cheaper than 1 large turbo. I call BS on this since a 76mm turbo is the same price new as a 53mm turbo. So in my theory I think it would cost 3x as much to just buy the turbos. Plus all the points mentioned above.

The thing that jumps out at me is how low of miles they all have, doesn't seem like people are even putting 10k a year on these cars

This confuses me. Either you are talking about an electric motor running at 110% efficiency or you are talking about a gas engine that will no longer be an EV.

literally every post in this thread has been saying well you need to buy X and you need to buy Y and you need to find this specific motor..... all leading up to my question, if you are going to spend 2k for 220hp then why not spend 4k and get 400hp so it sounds like you want the sound of the V8 for stupid cheap, and that is what the truck motor will give you. also you want more power than the 1.8L has, this will also be easily attainable. Final thoughts: DOET!!!

I really don't mean to thread shit, but have you considered an LS swap instead? just as easy and you get way more power and the engine would be way lighter.
