1971 Buick LeSabre with a chevy 350, 4 barrel carb. Odometer does not work but I think the motor has about 60k on it.
Let's start with the good stuff: Starts right up, front seat upholstery is new (2.5 years old), carpet is new, dash is in great shape, all windows are good, rebuilt transmission, new drive shaft with new universal joints, very rare car, solid frame, rag top is 3 years old but is a little worn from being stored in a barn. Body is solid with some minor rust around doors and wheel wells, new rotors, calipers and brake lines.
Now for the bad: needs exhaust work, 1/4 of the left rear is missing. Some rust on the body, radiator leaks, rag top is torn but does not leak, tear is only on the edge. Could use a good carb cleaning/replacing, chrome is chipping on the bumpers, needs paint and body work to look new. Radio bezel has been modified and would need replaced. Electric motor for the top is bad and needs to be replaced, but the top still goes up and down manually, you can buy a new one at http://classicbuicks.com for $135. transmission leaks from somewhere, motor leaks from somewhere, brake fluid leaks. needs new weather stripping to look new. Car was stored in a barn and it smells accordingly. The under body of the car has had some sheet metal work done to it to help support the floorboard.
As is would like to get $1500 OBO out of it. Any questions please call Vic at 740-972-3249 and try to call after 7pm if at all possible.
