yeah, my 97 GTP has 204k miles on it and has never had a lick on tranny trouble. I had a deal locked in on an 04 Comp G, but the buyer backed out last second. Would LOVE a G8 or an GTO for a beater, they are just a bit out of my price range. Background - ANYTHING that is not my Mustang, is considered a beater If you plan on selling your Comp G, let me know.

Been thinking of getting one for a beater. I love my 97 GTP, its just getting along in age and thought this looked like a cool beater. Anyone on here ever have one? Anything I should look out for? I heard all their power is locked away in their exhaust. I dont plan on modifing the piss out of it, mabye just a few bolt ons. Anywhoo, just seeing if anyone had one.

I have a problem with saying no to getting laid. I need more self control......

I am switching to a Twin Bosch 044 from a single A1000 and I know several guy on turbomustangs running twin pumps without issue. If it makes you feel better to run twin pumps then I say go for it.

TKO 600 built from a 3550. Last rebuild was in 2008, but it only has around 2200 miles on it and around 100 track passes since then. The 5th gear is an 0.64. MGW Shifter "Long" Pistol Grip handle Factory stlye Bellhousing Spec 5 clutch 26 Spline / 500 Miles (Mostly break in) Yoke for TKO. Can include FMS driveshaft for extra Steada Clutch Cable SVO Clutch Quadrant UPR Ultimate Firewall adjuster Can include a RAM "0" oz balance flywheel for extra Will not seperate Trades. No C4's or C6's. Would consider SBF adapted powerglides or TH400. Also would consider built AOD's, T-56 swaps and other Ford Overdrive tranmissions that could work on SBF. My 97 GTP has 201k miles on it now. I have only ever changed the tranny fluid on it twice. Runs like a champ. Has a few bolt-ons and has went a best of 14.50@97. Only major thing I have ever had to do (Knock on wood) is replace the alternator. Mine has been a tank.
