dave why dont you find the 3.4/3.8 and bolt it to a northstar. pattern is nearly exact. ive looked at this swap. light weight and 300 ponys with a very restrictave exaust. and as far as head gaskets i can do the threadserts (gm's name for a helicoil)for near cost. ask tinman how close the bolt pattern is i showed it to him the last time he was at my shop. just an idea

very good point i am glad that some one sees my point of view.

make sure that you inspect the ignition switch very carefully. fords of that era were known for the switch to overheat and melt the surrounding wires.

check the cols dispatch i seen a few there but i dont remember what they will fit

you must also provide recipt for all parts that are not orignal to the car.state inspection stations that are not in franklin county are also not as strict

we have bought a few cars from the auction made some good money to. i bought a 83 f150 for 300.00 real clean truck had it sold for 1800 3 days after the title was in my name. best advice use caution on what you spend they may need engines or trannys that can get real pricey fast. but you can find some real good deals. food for thought where do you think the seized cars end up at??? (street racing drug and other offences)

try a place called the right stuff detailing there up in sunbury. they make stainless brake clutch and tranny line for about anything that you can think of. used them in the past with great results. they will also make custom parts

keep in mind tht you will recieve a salvage title and no keys it is a game of chance but the prices are never that high. a good friend bought a 02 mustang gt w/ 10k that was flipped for like 450.00

i need 2 t-5 trannys one 4cly 1 v/8 good or bad i will take them. i also need a large vam and comp for a svo or turbo coupe. any decks without faces i have a box full of faces and no deck to match. drop beams for a ranger between the rail tonneu cover for a ranger wheels if it fits a sn95 it will fit mine. (no tri bars please to ugly for me) anything will help. i would be willing to do work for trade paint body or mech. repair let me know thanks Rolla

spupid question but did you double check all the + - connections. also i have seen were gm side post termanls will gouge the lead from the batt termnal and not give you a good connection, even if it is tight. look in the termnal they will corrode real bad inside the rubber and you cant see it with out opening them up
