The diablo deal that burns the chips was defective I think and they had to send it back so he wasnt able to tune yet. I dont know when its going back now though

Alex I really dont understand, the i/c pipe is on my car and quite a few others as well. I didnt cut anything on mine, went directly on. Are you running an electric fan or clutch? I have the clutch fan still and makes it close to the hot side but its still fine. I wrapped the complete crossover to prevent any additional heatsoak I would consider also wrapping the downpipe partially because the cold side comes out of the inner fender right there and will help keep the iat down some as well.

If you fix it, do you think I should order in one of those dc power jacks above in that ebay auction link?

Pretty easy fix. She drops the car back off, hands them the keys & refuses to sign the loan. On the way out the door, she should stiff arm any salesperson in her way.
