  1. I thought that was veterans. For real, veterinarians have a high suicide rate? I would have never guessed that.
  2. Prob would've posted if they did since folks post about buying DD's. That's not a dig, but ya gotta believe someone would've thrown up a post ASAP had they pulled the trigger.
  3. Kind of how I feel. I've owned and heavily used a '78 K10, '97 Dakota, '98 Ford, and now am using an '82 Ford. Yeah, this is DEFINITELY an apples/oranges, but I like older vehicles. I can say that between my dad and his they've done heavy hauling (for 1/2 ton) and farm work, building, etc, with a '96 F150, '95 F150, 2007 F150, and 2013 Ecoboost. (Actually I forget most of granpa's aside from his '95 Eddie Bauer.) That being said they've also had a GM apiece and never really spoke ill of them, just preferred the Fords overall for performance, appearance, comfort, etc. Hell, my brothers Titan took me over some SKETCHY mountain roads on a hunting trip and he's even hauled with it. I still prefer Fords but can't truly speak ill of the Nissan's. Yup.
  4. I will say the RAM int looks pretty nice, but to me it just looks...busy. Cramp. Like they're trying too hard. I dunno. It's nice, but just not for me. I do not drive a GM and I agree about the offset wheel. Makes tater sense. Everyone has experiences like that. I drove a 1998 F150 with the feared 4.6 in it to JUST under 300K, nothing but maintenance and zero recalls, and sold it for profit. 99% rust free. I've heard everyone who is brand loyal claim their brand is the only one who can do such a thing. I prefer Fords because we've proven them for generations, same as you feel about Dodge/Ram. If a GM or Ram performed better, was priced better, last longer, was more comfortable, etc. and what not, I wouldn't stick with Fords "just because". Brand loyalty is ridiculous IMO. YMMV.
  5. Mallard: You mentioned GM having an inferior plastic interior. What is RAM's interior comprised of, why is it more beneficial, and how much of the cost would I be paying for said better interior?
  6. Just curious: what makes it the best on the market? So does a column shifter. And lol, of course the rotary is easy to use. It's a knob. You turn it. Not rocket surgery. micdrop.smilie.jpg
  7. Nice. A buddy in HS had a red '92. It was by far my fav car anyone owned around there at that time. Good pick up.
  8. That's fair. I guess my question was more along the lines of you preferring to do work yourself over an unknown smith. Obv this won't be the last firearm purchase you make. Over time, I was saying, it's behoove you to just buy the tools...if you plane on future firearm purchases that is. Best of luck.
  9. "It's just not worth it to do myself, but I would love to do it myself rather than taking it to a gunsmith." Hopefully someone on here can offer assistance and has what you need, but if you're really wanting to do the smithing yourself why not purchase the tools?
  10. K. Anywho, Chillicothe is def still open. No range there though.
  11. http://www.ohiovalleytradingpost.com/index.html Website lists their other stores and their biggest and OG, Lanc, isn't on there. Odd. I'll be in Chillicothe for work tomorrow. I may swing by afterward and see if I can find out what the hell happened to Lancaster.
  12. Fully disagree. They ALWAYS matched any price. Vance's, Bud's, anyone on anything. All you had to do was bring in a printed ad or show on your phone. Bought a S&W .38 spl with laser on my debit card for $500. Went home, saw Vance's had them on sale for $429. Printed out the web page and took it in the next day. They handed me $70 cash without batting an eye. Seems odd they shut down after so many years.

  16. I understand your stance, but Tyson once said, "everyone has a plan until their hit in the face." I'm all for loyalty and standing by your word. That's one thing my dad and grandfather DRILLED into my thick skull as a kid. However, they never added an addendum for someone offering me MILLIONS for signing my name to play football for a professional team for a few years. I can't blame these kids. I get your stance, and I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't blame them.
  17. +1, unless you're planning on towing a car hauler with 2 diesel tractors or less. Anything larger? Get larger.
  18. Whoa. I hope that's not true either. They would price match ANYONE, even online, and their range was ran better than Vance's.
  19.  Close the thread down. Nothing more can be said, even of helpful advice, that will be greater than reading this.
  20. I literally don't recall you saying that one time. Never heard you mention his name. :lolguy: I disagree. Not about Saban. I'll give him his credit where it's due. The game was dull for me though. I fell asleep and when my wife woke me up I went to bed. I THINK that was in the 3rd quarter. I googled the score when I awoke today. This. Make no mistake, major college football programs are a cash cow and these kids aren't even allowed to trade necklaces for tattoo's or something. Imagine this: you're 19 years old. Your entire life you've lived either in the deepest poverty or at best with parents who struggled to make ends meet by living paycheck to paycheck. Maybe you had times where your family couldn't afford to have the heat on in the winter and you had to sit on the floor and watch an outdated TV under layers of blankets and clothes. You have a talent that lands you a deal at a major university. You still live off of team meals or ramen noodles. You do your best in your classes but with the standardized education you've had up to this point everything is confusing. You're not allowed to get paid for working 5-7 days a week. You do that for a few years and someone tells you that if you stop doing heavy labor for free you can have more money than literally anyone in your family has ever known. More than your folks have made in their entire lifetime combined. You will never have to worry about money ever again so long as you don't Manziel it up. They're DUMB for leaving early? BS.
  21. Nope, but I don't fit in a smart car either so...
