  1. That's sick as hell. Best of luck. That's a classic and a rarity for sure.
  2. Not arguing the fact. Just wondering if one should claim to know precisely what a car runs if they haven't. That's all. As I stated previously, carry on and have a great evening everyone.
  3. I have no dog in this fight since I drive a sled, but shouldn't you be able to produce a verifiable slip before assuming you're running a certain number and talking shit about what others know they run? Just an observation/thought. Carry on.
  4. Edwin happens to know a few things...and one of the things Edwin knows is, it's not how you e-battle about your car, it's how you race your car. You better learn dat.
  5. $40 and three street tacos of your choice.
  6. In that case I call me driving someone else's car against someone driving theirs as well. I never knew this was an option.
  7. Started working with a local bladesmith. Here's the first knife I forged 100% by myself. The spike knife was forged but the work I did was limited by the shop, etc. Here I was doing ALL of the work, which was nice. The top pic is the steel straight from the forge/anvil. The bottom is after the first profile grind.
  8. Yeah? The yearning for transmission problems?
  9. No cares for curmudgeons.
  10. :lolguy: I even said in CB I was doing that as a joke. Sorry that you thought I was serious. I'll let you get back to all the professional racers who have posted. Have a great evening.
  11. :lolguy: Some people just choose to not try/learn how.
  12. 2001 Passat and 2002 Jetta. Both were 1.8t's and both seemed to run properly and have everything else work properly about 50% of the time we owned them. It was enough to deter us both from VW's forever...and her dad is a HUGE VW guy. Has owned a multitude of them over the course of his life. Both vintage and newer....although after his "new beetle" (when they first came back) was totaled he went out and bought a Chevy and even he hasn't got another new VW. Not saying they're bad. Not saying they're shit. Just saying I personally have had enough money come out of my pocket just for upkeep/repairs that I would rather not own another. YMMV.
  13. I once financed a Passat using that very logic. One of the worst vehicle purchase decisions I've ever made. The other was a Jetta. I have no clue on new VW's though. They may be...better? To be fair Steve, you can hear. That means his sense of vision is more keen than yours. :gabe:
  14. Really? Is the owner of the first one to roll off assembly lines Mike Hawk?
  15. I would call the Ecoboost the "athlete of the bunch." I also say it will fare well against competition, ya know...since it has been. :gabe: Does anyone NEED the "gee whiz" features? Nope. Does anyone NEED to pay the same price for a truck without them though? Nope.
  16. ...bet I can outshout you without even using glass. Hell, I don't even need a firearm to do that. I'd trust Bob to setup my rifle.
  17. Sounds pretty good to me. Commons sense and good business sense.
