Not a bad way to spend $300...total. Hey, if you like them and don't have to rely on them for defense (or really even if you do), who cares? It's your money.

My personal suggestions on 5 to try (some already mentioned): Glock S&W M&P Ruger SR9 Springfield xD9 and my all time personal fav, FNP9 Can't go wrong with any of them in my opinion. While I agree that Glocks are extremely reliable and proven as such, I personally dislike them. I'd take the FNP9 over any mentioned thus far, but that's me. Let me know if you want to try and meet up to try an FNP9 or FNP40.

Thanks Marc, but I've ignored PP's petty rants long ago. It's all good. I don't care what he or anyone else thinks. I'm not ashamed of who I am. I can hike to the top of Mt. LeConte (5.2 miles, ~2,700 ft elevation IIRC) and back down. I can hike all over the woods to hunt. I can run and play with my son. I can play ball with friends all day long. If I still lost sleep over what others thought of me I wouldn't have applied for the show and would've missed an incredible experience. I would be holed up in my cabin never seeing or doing anything. As it is I kayak with friends and do all kinds of things. See? I'm perfectly happy. My happiness isn't based on making 100% of the people on this planet accepting of me. If he chooses to continually judge and berate people on outward appearances that's his prerogative. He has the freedom and right to do so in this country.

Dunno why but I lol'd. I got a call about 9:00 PM one night from a solicitor that has been trying to get me to subscribe to some outdoors magazine. No clue how they got my number since I never sign up for anything. After several calls I answered with, "I'm putting my kid to sleep now. I SERIOUSLY suggest you stop calling this late." Before I could say anything else they hung up. OP: Start answering with shotgun in hand. As a maintenance guy who regularly visits many homes, reputation will spread. Should curb it a bit eventually.
