  3. You really like these paintings, don't you?
  4. Me too. Just like I've been saying for the past 12 years.
  5. Have to go for the throat. Grab that thing and rip it out. Here's an instructional video.
  6. Hike to Laurel Falls. Just 1.2 miles with amazing views. If you want to spend a day hiking you'll never forget, and I mean never, hike to the top of Mt. LeConte via the Alum Cave Bluffs Trail. Simply amazing. Some parts left me breathless. If you take it to the top realize there are some pretty nasty drops. Don't know the situation with kids or what-not, but be careful. It's not hard though. 5.2 miles up. I leisurely strolled up in 4 hours and down in 3 stopping for lunch and at random times for pics or just to take in the view. Been going to GB/PF area every year for my entire life. Apple Barn is nice, most of the Pancake places are decent, but you must get a steak at the Smoky Mountain Brewery in Pigeon Forge. It's a must stop every time I go...and I hate going to the same restaurant over and over again. I love trying new things. I always get pulled back there though.
  7. I'm sure there is decent stuff someone would want/use. It's just too far for me to drive. Good looking out Buck.

  9. When I hunt I have either my 12g or .22lr, 9mm on my right hip, hunting knife on the left hip, pocket knife clipped on my right pocket, and ka-bar pack knife which rides on my left shoulder. Overkill? Probably. Most are used as tools for hunting/skinning, but it's good to know they're there.
  10. I've had a doberman/lab mix come after me. No, I wouldn't go around just tackling dogs, but if it came down to me (or even worse my child) and a dog, that effer would get tackled or whatever it took to ensure our safety. Control the head/neck. It's all canines have to attack with. Little bro's dog came at me once. As he lunged I swung as hard as I could and knocked him senseless for a bit. Never did it again. His teeth left a small puncture on my knuckle, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I love dogs and will NOT harm one unless out of necessity, but eff letting a dog eat your face off bath salt style just b/c it's a pet. Not that you think this way, but most people are afraid of dogs when honestly a single dog can be handled by most. Not all, I understand, but most grown men, if necessary, could easily handle most dogs bare handed. Sounds like you did the right thing. Kudos for keeping your cool.
  11. Honey badger should've cared.
  12. I drive past a school daily on a 45 mph road down here. ...I slow down. :gabe: Good luck to ya though. Prob won't be able to do a thing since it was a school zone.
  13. While they're def stealthy, nature is crazy. Cats aren't the end all/be all IMO. Nothing is. Everything can potential rape everything else. I'd rather have an eagle or a falcon I can train.
  14. That'd be terrifying. Last year on an annual hunting trip to WV my BIL and I saw black bears almost daily, but they'd tear off over a mountain. One day we were walking from one spot to the next down a trail high on a mountain far away from anyone or anything and I saw something off the old logging road we were using bounding through the woods. Couldn't tell what it was. Hopped right onto the dirt road and broadsided. It was a bobcat and while it wasn't intimidating in its size alone, it just stared at both of us, studying our souls for about 30 seconds or so, then ran over the next hill. He was prob 50 yards ahead of us so we jogged up, peered over the hill (it was in the fall so it was pretty easy to see everywhere) and he was gone. Not a trace. Spent the rest of the day looking over our shoulders and up in trees. Screw mountain lions when I'm our squirrel hunting.
