Picking up my new bike tonight from cyclist connection. 2011 Giant Cypress. No racing/street bike, but I'm a beginner. Looking to ride the 25 mile Peletonia trip in August. Can't wait to ride tonight!

My SR9c performs better in my hands than my friends Glock 23 or even dads full sized FNP-9. As a matter of fact both of them shot my SR9c better too. I vote Ruger, but at the same time vote that you can't go wrong with Glock. If the Ruger is anything like the SR9c I'd say that's the best buy.

+ 1 for 10/22. I had a Mossberg bolt action. http://www.frontierfirearms.ca/images/mossberg37030.jpg Fun. Inexpensive. Easy to learn on. Easy to learn about care/cleaning. Not easy to unload a 10 round mag in seconds.

Be cheap engine, be reliable, affordable, and repairable. Yes, I know. I've owned both and a bunch want to tell me "VAG > *". Doesn't need to be another thread "teaching" me about how sweet it is that I have the change the oil at a dealership every 30 miles. lol
