  1. I was heading south on Stygler right near McCutcheon and a white (96-98) Cobra Coupe was pulling out of a complex (can't remember if it was one of the churches or not, but I believe it was) and he went the other way. I gave him a very obvious thumbs up, and it obviously had exhaust work. Anybody on here?
  2. I would also but at the same time someone brought up the point that maybe not everyone would be honest about it. Maybe if you were required to post a scanned copy of your slip?
  3. I actually always liked looking at that list, but just haven't dynoed recently enough to add my #'s to the list. I always found it interesting seeing what everyone else had, but like someone said, it looks like no one ever updates it at all, so what's the point in having it?
  4. Geez, I went to sleep last night and there was only one page...anything resolved yet? smile.gif
  5. I agree with what Mallard said although I don't really post a whole lot and don't frequent the board like some people do so I don't see everything that happens, but I really haven't noticed too much of a deviation from the norm as of late. There's always been some people bickering in various threads, but I guess that's basically what people do. I haven't seen anything to really take note of as having gotten out of hand lately, so I'm not really sure if some drastic event occured that spurred this kind of an extreme action, but I hope you guys get it all resolved and figured out shortly.
  6. Also check your fan assembly to make sure the fan is actually coming on at the designated temperature.
  7. Hmm interesting. Thanks for the review. Haven't seen it yet, and probably won't see it in theatres for the very reason that it has Ashton in it (can't stand him). I'll pick it up when it hits the video stores though and see if I agree with you. Thanks again.
  8. I've got BBK LTs on mine. I would never attempt an install like that. My shop had to drop the k-member and entire front suspension to do these things. I don't think shorties would be nearly as bad, but then again in my personal opinion, a set of shorties isn't worth the money, time, sweat, stress, and irritation of a header install (and even worse if you're paying someone by the hour), so if you're going to do it (and believe me it's a worthwile mod if you have other mods to compliment it), go Longtubes.
  9. The 5.0L motors usually got a decent benefit when going to a 65mm T/B over the stock 60mm T/B. On the 4.6L, a larger T/B over the stock 65mm generally LOSES horsepower. If anything you'll break even and in many cases it causes bad idle, and rough throttle response.
  10. If it's constant buzzing, it's probably blown. Mine did that when I blew it.
  11. 9:1 compression is very safe for boost. When you start to get to 10:1 and above, then you start pushing it a little bit. 9:1, with a good tune, and intercooler will be able to take well into the teens with regard to boost, and should be able to do it on premium pump gas.
  12. I have a guy I could give you a referral to. He's done all my body work. He does it as side work, and he's not cheap, but I've been pretty satisfied with his work. Just PM me if you want his name/number. He's in New Albany.
  13. Hmm...did you end up getting it, or you still stuck? I'm getting ready to change the fuel filter on my g/f's '98 Cobra here within the next week or so. Maybe they changed the setup over the years.
  14. There isn't on mine. On mine there are 2 little plastic clips that need to be removed. You shouldn't need any tool other than your index finger and thumb to get it off. Edit: I do recall when I did mine last year, I broke one of the clips taking it off (they're pieces of sh*t) and just ended up using one of those metal fasteners like those used on your MAF housing and Intake tube to T/B connection, and it's much easier to get off and on now.
  15. Geez, you're post whoring over here now too, eh? tongue.gif
  16. You have to have had your dyno done at DTM? Dyno numbers are in sig. Dyno graph on my site.
  17. Yeah that's kinda crazy. I've let mine sit on the car for nearly a full week before, then when I finally got off my lazy as*, I just wiped them off w/ a paper towel, like I always do...they come right off, easy as heck.
  18. First off, Nitrousbird, that is one heck of a nice car you got there. Second, I also have the NX Kit. Listen to Nitrousbird. Run a window switch. Don't inject below 3,000RPM. With a wet system, a 'puddling' effect can occur if you inject too low. You're depending on the air flowing through that intake tube to blow the Nitrous into the manifold so it doesn't puddle...if it puddles it can backfire, causing major damage. Run a fuel pressure safety switch. The NX System is a well designed system, and works well if you use it correctly.
  19. '96-'01.5 have the T-45. Yeah it's a total pos. Biggest problem with it is that its syncronizers wear out faster than hell, causing grinding if you're not used to it. If anything though, it's a strong tranny. Sounds like these guys know more about trannys than me, which is good because this doesn't sound like a typical T-45 problem, so I hope you get it fixed.
