  1. I ran out once coming back from work. I didn't have any money to buy any gas. Forgot my wallet at home.

Another time the car stalled with a 1/4 tank of gas. Put more gas in it and some fuel cleaner and she started right back up. Bad gas.

  2. I was thinking more along the lines of this. I did read about adding a cone filter or moving the maf causes a cel.

You're right though. I should just leave it alone. I'll probalbly just screw something up. I really just want a little better mpg.

I checked on ebay for the mp3 stereo. No luck.

  3. I drove one as a rental and couldn't stand it. I ended up trading it in for something else, I couldn't stand the noise/rattles at highway speeds. Gave me a massive headache. Knew a few girls that had gotten new Kia's, they ended up not liking the car after the 'new cuteness' wore off. Personally, I would never buy one.
  4. Gas prices are outragous! It cost me $11 to fill up my Moped the other day!!! I only get like 55mpg... thing is a damn gas hog.

    J/k. I wish I had a moped...lol

I've actually been seeing quite a few mopeds out now that the weather's getting nice. Hell, if it saves you money.

  5. To each their own. We all have our own opinions on cars.

I've been reading up on the legacy forums about the stereo. There are things you can do to get around it and still maintain a factory look. Subaru does make an amp/sub that mounts underneath the drivers seat.

    Example.

148k lol.. get it right. Honestly though, I don't even make half that. That was another member posting under my account name. Yea.. he's an :asshole:. Not sure I'm ever gonna live that down.

  6. Just picked it up today!

06 Legacy 2.5i Limited. Loaded. The AWD is especially nice, now hopefully I won't get stuck trying to make it up my driveway when it ices over. :) It's quite peppy for a 4 banger, and the computer says I'm running slightly better gas mileage then the cougar. It's definitely a lot quieter/smoother ride.

Couple quick pics, it's really dirty now as I had to drive 2 1/2 hours back home in the rain. The previous one owner took really nice care of it. I'll take more when it's nice out and I get a chance to wash/wax it.

I plan on replacing the factory plastic tubing with smoother intake piping to up the mpg, tint the tails, remove the pinstripe, clear the headlights, and just replace the factory speakers. It's already got a k&n drop in. Other then that it's my new daily.

So, I never even gave the Milan/Fusion a chance. Tried a few times to test drive one, they were sold out. Stopped by a Subaru dealer, drove the 3.0R, and fell in love (but way too expensive). Found this one on Autotrader the same day, drove up a couple days later and bought it. Actually cheaper then similar equipped Milan's, and a better AWD system. :)

Let me know what you think

  7. ^ROFL. Which lips, both? I wouldn't want to touch any of them anyhow.

I always heard warnings about stops on Bethel, never been stopped though. So how many beers for an average person does it take to blow over an .08? Just curious, as I get drunk quick.

  8. Only if you put the K&N sticker they come with in a visible location. :p

I have one in the STI. I don't hink they do much in newer cars since the stock intake systems tend to flow pretty well. But older cars, I can certainly see a drop-in filter helping a bit. Most newer cars I've seen have filter elements that probably flow the same about as the old circular type that used to sit on top of the big V8s, and these are for 4-cyl cars. Even a paper filter will have little enough restriction in that instance.

A better intake tract (like a CAI) may help, depending on the design of your stock intake, but I would research it deeply. Certain stock intake designs flow plenty as is. And with a probe-type MAF, a different piping design can cause a dangerously lean condition.

Now if I were to get another filter, I think I'd probably get a nano-fiber filter:

It's easy to clean (just use a vacuum or compressed air), traps particles MUCH smaller than normal paper would and makes a K&N style look like an open intake, and flows air nearly as well as a K&N style. I only found out about them AFTER I bought my K&N.. :p

I like the sem images, makes for a good comparison.

I have the AEM dry cone filter on the cougar. Just rinse with water, dry, put back on. No oil bs to deal with.
