  1. If Dan still works at Polaris he's a man to go to. No bullshit, he knows his shit, hes' a good guy. Old co-worker. I'd you want a plasma Panasonic is a big winner. Sony just costs too much for about anything you get, but they do look damn good. Mitsu or Samsung for dlp. Sharp for an lcd.
  2. I can't ever listen to people's movies opinions anymore because of this reason. Crank was a good movie. My friends told me the same thing about Super Troopers. I didn't get to watch it until a few months after it came out on dvd. It's still right up top with one of the funniest movies ever. I think I cried I was laughing so hard.
  3. pm'd. I think the moderators will do what's proper. No need to disclose it to everyone.
  4. I've been shocked by a 300kv and a 80kv stun gun. They don't necessarily hurt, but you really don't want to be hit again. The spark they make is more of a deterrent. I haven't been shocked to the point of incapacitance though, nor have I ever been tazed. A tazer just seems like it would hurt much worse.
  5. USA: Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat Canada: Molsen Mexico: Corona Extra Czech Republic: Pilsner Urquell Ireland: Murphy's Stout UK: Bass All I can think of, those are my favorites. It seems that out of all the countries I have drank beer. Canada was the best.
  6. I was just in Indianapolis, gas was 2.76 at one gas station, the next street down it was 3.17. wtf?
  7. Ha ha.... i wish I made that a year. I like my car, gets me from point a to b. It's been very reliable.
  8. Olevia is a cheaper brand. Personally, I'd get something higher quality even if it did mean slightly smaller, but if you don't mind the picture it's your money. You get what you pay for. There are charts that tell you the optimum viewing distance for the size tv you have. 20' away is about 60". What about a dlp rear projection? The samsungs look very nice and they're cheaper then some lcd tv's.
  9. They redirected the flight? I think the other passengers would want to beat his ass.
  10. This New Years I was talking to another member who I had not seen in a while. He asked me about some thread a few months ago which apparently went down hill quick and my s/n continued to reply. I was confused, as I had not been on the forums in quite a while. I quickly concluded it was my room mate, who some of you may know, and continued to laugh at the story. Either way, the person who started the drama was not myself. My room mate uses my computer sometimes, is also a forum member, and apparently once he found out he was logged into my name kept the crap flying. I haven't read through or even cared to search for said post and don't really care to that point. I apologize for not logging out on my own computer and any drama it caused. I won't say who it was, but I guess it doesn't really matter. Thank you and have a good day.
  11. everyone tells me well water is slimey or smells like eggs - never bothered me though
  12. shitty, waiting on a fax and plane tickets
  13. i like your sig pic, it makes me laugh
  14. if full power comes on at 3000, and the appropriate rear end gear is run, that equates to more total area under the curve then a slim lsa "peaky" high compression motor.
  15. yes to both questions - why can't an engine with a turbocharger have a linear output? Lingenfelter is a great example of a company that strives for it. you simply cant extract the same amount of power (under the curve) no matter what compression or rev limit doller per doller compared to a properly built turbo car. now we're adding a caveat that the application is for drag/roll racing...
  16. economy, durability, etc... carrying speed through turns > speed on straights (which if you look at the history of one lap, was mainstream big hp)
  17. i didn't mean it as taunt, just trying to point out, numbers arent everything, and many have not experienced properly turboed cars, where throttle transients and response are critical... if numbers are numbers, what makes the same idea at 500-600hp any different?
  18. a bit? the bush administration could only have taken it as far as STS...
  19. have you ever seen anyone brake boost coming out of an apex of a turn? that would be damn impressive. work is relavant. nitrous works, can make the same power, but you wouldnt see it on road course?
  20. would it be fair to say your normally at your powerband when the race starts? with the exception of launching, and theres really no dyanamics to it - just all in?
  21. when STS has a car in rolex, irl, or indy i will do so gladly..
  22. i dont hate them, just cant stand their abuse of science for marketing...
  23. yet it shows nothing about throttle response, transients, etc.. lets compare to Tilley's vette... http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/3/web/2415000-2415999/2415299_34_full.jpg Edit - Linn can you find the tire diameter to convert that graph over to RPM?
  24. is that dyno from the same 408 vette in the above vid (twin 60-1?)
