I went out this morning. It wasn't too bad. Met one nice guy who was helping me out, he seemed to be pretty good. He helped me work on some drills and whatnot. I can tell that the lower part of my body is going to be sore tomorrow. I think next Saturday I'm going to try to go to the Saturday Night Hockey at Easton.

Should I call ahead to reserve a spot for myself or do you think I should be okay? I'm going tomorrow 11:30 to the Chiller North for Stick & Puck.

That's kind of what I wondered, if there were certain times that all the better players were out there. But with everything I'm sure there are plenty of jerks and plenty of good guys regardless of skill.

Dorse is one of my favorite players on the team. That kid gives 110% everytime I've ever seen him step on the ice, and a super nice guy. Previously when he got called up to the bigs he seemed like a typical russian player, but I think he finally realized this was getting close to the end for him to actually become a full-time NHLer. Probably doesn't want his career to end up like Filatov's.

I very rarely eat out anymore. The money wasted is amazing. For lunch I typically eat romaine salad with red wine vinaigrette dressing, turkey or ham w/ mustard on whole grain bread, and some water to drink. Throw in a granola bar for a snack. Some okay and some aren't, but most of them are all really high in sodium.

Honestly it depends on your size, but IIRC I thought you were a bigger guy around my size. I went to play it again and got a few things, but they don't have much in XL in Hilliard, that's why I'm heading up to Hockey Stop off Bethel here in a bit to get some XL shoulder pads. You could try the Sawmill Rd store though, Hilliard and Sawmill are the only play-it-again's that keep hockey stuff in stock. There are some decent deals on previous season gear bundles at some online hockey sites. It seems like $200-300 is the bottom price that you can get outfitted.

Completely different team from what I saw. We played a lot of time in Detroit's zone. Looked pretty good out there, but Ty Conklin also looked really bad.

After about a year and a half of debating I finally went and got a whole setup of ice hockey gear (only beed some XL shoulder pads they were out of stock). I haven't played in probably 12 years. I'd like to meet up with some guys for dropins. What days do you guys go? Or should I try to go to a stick & puck session first?

There are a lot of NHL GM's that think Ryan Johansen is going to be a star in the league soon, that's another possibility. With Nash signed still long term, I think I'd need a draft pick with Seguin and Rask.

There is no way Boston is going to give up Rask. Thomas is a great goalie, but it's obvious he's not going to play like this for that much longer, his age is getting up there. With how great Jonathan Quick is playing right now, I think it'd be a great time to flood the LA Kings with offers for Jonathan Bernier.

I honestly thought they would have gotten Marty Turco to stay another year in the NHL and backup Mase. I don't think Dekanich is a horrible idea, and I know he's a solid goalie. We'll just have to give him a chance when he comes back from his ankle injury. My honest opinion is that go hard at Jonathan Bernier (Kings) or Cory Schneider (Canucks), both are outstanding goalies with good #1 starters in front of them. Give up Mase, Savard, and a 2nd round pick for them. Or you mean a team that drives a great area downtown and supports an entire arena district? You mean an area that was crap before the Blue Jackets came in? You mean supports a lot of businesses that would most likely close when people stop coming into town for the Blue Jacket games? Sure.

Another great one is "One Second After" by William Forstchen. Apparently there is a deal done to make this one a movie, should be awesome. I know there are a few other members on here who I've talked to who are active in preparation. I've been into it for a while myself, but try to stay on the edge of not being a paranoid, crazy person. In a wide spread event, even paper money isn't going to be worth much if the system is down more than a few weeks. Food, water, ammo, etc. is going to be worth more than paper money.

You all almost sound as bad as the idiots over on HFboards. We have half of our defense out currently, probably 2 of our best (Wiz and Methot), we also have 2 of our top 6 forwards on IR, and Boll/Dekanich are out. There's probably not many people who are more missed than I, but almost any team is going to have problem when half their team is hurt. Just look at the NJ Devils at the beginning of last year.
