See advert for Americans who prep for the end of the world...
verse replied to Sturg1647545502's topic in Dumpster
I'm all for being prepared and I do have my own supplies, but these people take it to a hoarder like obsession. I get that they want to be able to provide for their family, but no one really knows if there is ever going to be an emergency that ever needs those provisions. I got into it a few years back, but I felt like I could just be wasting my time or like these people, wasting their lives, just preparing for something that may never happen or something you don't even want to live through. I still like to learn and get new tips though. Either way I added it to the DVR. -
Horrible. Why have a monotone singer? Sounds like myself at karaoke.

I figured some of you would get a kick out of it. I think the ref really wanted to give a pass on it, but once the scorekeeper started asking and the other team caught on I think they had to do something. I mean really? We still ended up winning and I was on the roster, just not the sign in sheet, but it's clearly written in the rule book. It is what it is. It was a ton of fun and I hope to play a few more games with them and get in the session next time around.

Played in my first game last night as an E league sub and scored my first goal, but apparently I was supposed to sign in, which I had no idea, and my goal was taken away and I was ejected from the game. We still ended up winning 4-3.

I drink 1 or 2 cans a soda a month. I drink 1-1.5 gallons of water a day though.

Just announced... Columbus will be hosting the 2013 All Star Game. Going to be sick. I've already put in requests of my season ticket holder friends for extras.
-
I wouldn't go that far. 2008-09, the year we made the playoffs. Early in the season you could get tickets just as cheap as you can now, wasn't sold out often, but then they started to make the playoff push and prices went up and the arena was sold out. You couldn't buy home playoff tickets on ticketmaster unless you wanted single tickets. They sold out pretty quickly. If you put a winning team on the ice, people will show up. Don't compare hockey to soccer. I'm sure soccer can be a fun game, but hockey is one of the fastest and best sports to watch live. If we win, the place will be full.

You're thinking of the president, Mike Priest. Scott Howson is the GM and he does have hockey experience. He was previously within the Oilers organization.

You'll love it. I bought mine off Midway b/c they had it in stock.

Mason definitely needs to go, but what goalie wouldn't look horrible in front of the pile of pylons our defense has been? Fedor Tpylon, the only reason I see to keep him around is if we resign Nikitin as they have both played well together. Still not worth the $4.5M cap hit. (Horrible Howson contract) If we could trade him I'd gladly do it. Clitsome has been exposed this year. The guy has a good shot, but defensively doesn't do much. Moore has shown some really good glimpses this year after he was paired with Wiz and now Methot. I think he's going to be a good dman in a few years. Wiz is exactly what I assumed he'd be, although we've only seen short periods of play. I'd say it's apparent that the kid wants to win and be successful. He's great offensively, okay defensively, but puts himself out of position a lot. Methot is really an underrated dman. He's not a #1-2 guy, but a great #3-4 dman. Ideally if the rumors of shopping Carter around are true I'd love to see a #1 shut down dman being returned.

That's all I've ever seen in any post about you in a hockey thread, just sayin. Yes, and pretty much with an inherited team for the previous regime.
-
He'd still be the top player on 75% of all the teams in the NHL, I just don't think he wants the big market attention.
-
He's actually a pretty simple guy. From what I've heard he'd much rather be in a small market team than a huge market team like his hometown Maple Leafs. I have a few friends in Toronto and they say it's crazy if you see players on the street, people are always around them. He doesn't want that I suppose. This has nothing to do with losing the team, the arena deal, or the players. It has to do with the management of the team, specifically Mike Priest (Club president with no previous hockey experience) and Scott Howson (General Manager with 1 winning season). The fact that the ownership has given them the okay to run the team into the ground for another year. Why didn't I know the anti-CBJ crew would come in pushing their political agenda? Take your babble elsewhere.

http://www.bluejacketsxtra.com/content/stories/2012/1/25/jackets-failures-push-longtime-fans-to-brink.html Pretty much started on the HFboards. A lot of people have decided to go down to the arena this Saturday at 2PM to protest the fact that ownership hasn't done anything about the management of this team. They just met last week and somehow Priest and Howson has sold the team on keeping them in office. It's bitter sweet and a lot of people are bashing the fact that it's not going to do anything, but what does sitting around and waiting do? Sure nothing may not happen, but what's the harm in trying to fix this horribly managed team? There is no sports to cover this Saturday in Columbus so people hope that local media will be covering this. I plan on being there in my #10 Kris Russell jersey if any of the local guys are interested in going down there. #CBJfanprotest

I'm glad I'm not the only one. -
I'm pretty sure the Napa warehouse off 161 can.

The amount of people and the date is helpful as well. We had our wedding and reception at the Kelton House. They allow you to bring in an outside caterer.

You'd think a good running Honda would still start even if 3 cylinders are good or it at least try to start. You'd be smart to fix the oil leak at the spark plug tube, but I'd also make sure you're getting spark. Those motors are notorious for bad distributors.

There is no Saturn that has a center console like that.

Pull the trim off on the outside of the door between the door panel and the glass Get a long screw driver ~20-30 inches Position screw driver on top of latch assembly Chisel through the latch assembly Door will open Replace latch I probably done 10-15 of them. It was also common on the Saturn Ion. Also on the rear hatch latches of the Vue, but those you can get from the inside. The Vue interior door panels don't have push clips to hold it in. It has plastic hooks that are part of the panel that go into the door. If you try to pull the panel from the inside you're going to break them and probably need a new panel.
-
Ding ding. It's part of the latch. You're going to have problems gettings the door card off b/c if I remember correctly there is a screw on the side of the panel. What I used to do was just use a really long screwdriver and stick it down between outer panel and glass. Then just smash the assembly and the door will open.

Same here. Almost everyone in my family lives over 80. My grandma died at 105 and my great aunt's all lived past 95. My mom died from breast cancer 3 years ago at 54, but that's as messed up as my family has ever been.

Not to mention all the people who live off medicine.

Read "One Second After" by William Forstchen. If electronics went out for more than a month right now, probably 70% of the population would be dead after 60 days.
