I was probably involved in one of the sweetest High St. fights ever. Okay about 3 years ago, I was at a punk show at Bernies. There was a set change, so everyone goes outside to chill. A couple guys are just messing around and wrestling. Three frat kids come by and try to start some shit with them. They just started to exchange some words. They left, no one thought anything about it. About half an hour later the frat kids come back with their entire frat, I'd estimate about 12-15 of them. At that point a huge brawl started right on the sidewalk of High St. in front of Bernies. Someone runs downstairs, gets on the mic and yells "There's a fight outside." Everyone runs outside, I'd estimate about 50 punk kids. There was beer bottles being thrown, people fighting right in the middle of High St. About 3 minutes later 6 CPD and 2 Patty wagons show up. A couple of my friends were hit in the face with beer bottles. It was probably the craziest thing I've ever been involved in.

From what I've heard, no. You could refinance a month after closing if you think it's going to benefit you. I've looked into it as well. I'm a 7.25% fixed for 30 years. I'd like to get down to 6.25-6.5%

15/16. I should have known K-State was going to win. Beasley is a beast.

We'll see.

I closed it down b/c no one was joining. We need at least 10 people for it to be worth anything.

I no longer work for Saturn. I wish I could help you out.

I've ran out three times in my Corolla a while back. The fuel sending unit never tells you very accurately how much fuel you have.

Just a suggestion, but I know a lot of other forums I'm on have a separate section for peoples build threads. It is kind of neat to keep up with what people have been doing to their cars. I know it motivates me as well.

The GTS parts car is actually in pretty decent condition. Practically rust free, only a little on the hatch and surface rust on the roof, other than that it's clean and will be for sale in the near future. I worked on the parts car a little last night while my boy was napping. I got the interior cleaned out and pulled a few pieces. It was pretty disgusting, even found some opened condom wrappers. :-X http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap003.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap004.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap005.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap011.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap010.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap009.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap008.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap006.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap007.jpg

3/18/08 We just got back on Sunday from picking up my old Corolla from the guy I sold it to. The car has been sitting almost since the day he got it from me (he blew up the motor the day I sold it to him). The title was never even changed from my name so it still has my name on the title. He also had a GTS liftback that he was using as a parts car that I got as well. The plans are to completely GTS swap my coupe. I'm hoping to have this done before summer. I just order all the OEM parts to rebuild the GTS motor. It's basically going to be a resto-mod car, not much of a drifter (although it may see a few events). The car still has some of the parts that I put on previously (OEM JDM spoiler, OEM JDM zenki rear bumper/brackets, and OEM USDM GTS front end) The drift car will come in the future after this car is going the way I like it. Here's how most of you remember the car. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/DSC01474.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/DSC01479.jpg As it's sitting now http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap015.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/irockacorolla/GTS_swap014.jpg

Does anyone buy cars to repair them, then sale it...
verse replied to Stampede's topic in Passing Lane
Bingo. Title never goes into your name and the DMV never is the wiser. -
Yeah, I'd say that's not half bad for the age and experience. I was making like $7.25 + commission at NTB for almost a year. It usually equaled out to about $9.00. ASE's will get your foot in the door, but they aren't that hard to pass so they don't mean a whole ton, but they usually get your foot in the door. We hired a guy once when I worked at Saturn who was a master ASE, master Ford, and had a toolbox the size of my house, but he was the slowest person I've ever seen. Not only that, but he couldn't remember easy shit and had to ask me like 4-5 times a day. Needless to say he wasn't there long, but you can't bank on ASE's.

I usually buy cheap cars, fix them, drive them for a few months or whatever, then sell. Everyone of my car I've gotten for less than $1,000. Every car I've ever owned. I bought my wife's daily, a '94 Saturn SL2, for $200 from the original owners. A water pump, belt, tune-up, and cam cover gasket; and the car is probably worth $2,200. -
What's it doing? But yeah I wouldn't start a car payment. I wish I didn't have a tool payment, let alone a car payment. I pay the Snap-On guy $280 a month.

You all have until the 20th to make your selections or join the group.

Once you go black, you never go back.

I'd stay where you are. Keep getting experience. It's going to be like that anywhere you go when you're 18 and have little to no experience. You're going to get the worst jobs, the worse rack, the worst bay. That's just how it goes. You need to get at least 4-5 years of expeience, not including schooling until most employers will respect you as a tech. Just my .02 I'm sure other people on this board would agree with me though.

The brackets are up, so everyone make your picks. If you aren't signed up for the group I think you can still sign up. Good luck everyone.

Best post yet. This is your only option.

If your temp sensor connector was nasty that means your temp sensor is cracked and it's letting coolant into your connector. Replace your connector and sensor then see if you have problems.

Well I haven't actually done one on a Cavalier, but I'm guess it's a hub/bearing assembly. So for the typical GM you'd have to remove caliper, rotor, then the axle nut, and there's usually 3 or 4 13mm bolts on the backside holding the assembly in, and then you have to either pound it out with a hammer or slide hammer.

I believe they are 81mm.

I think I paid about $80 a piece for my RT615 195/60/14's.

Good b/c I'm driving this beast to TN this weekend.
