what kind of car? the computer should use the iac to raise idle speed when the ac is engaged you could have a sticking iac a fualty ac pressure switch ( tells the comp the ac is on) bad computer , also rarely a marginal battery/alternator will cuase this problem not enough power to run all the extra stuff

with newer(tight bearings) you want to run a stock pump, buicks do almost the same thing with high pressure pump on new bearings only they twist off the bottom of the distributor or break the cam gear good luck

if its siezed in the bracket and you can get it out, unbolt the whole mess and get a loaded caliper it will come with a new bracket

you can try a quick boot, the newers ones sanp together with pins and clamp on the ends with large zip ties your better off just changing the whole axle though its only going to take about 20 minutes longer than using a splitboot
