FYI, When you ask for free carfax reports, you should never post the vin. Only send in a PM. Carfax has people that patrol forums looking for stuff like this. They will ban people who run vins posted like yours.
What sucks is that this will follow him.
On the policy side, as a consultant, I see all kinds of stupid stuff that you guys wouldn't believe. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon.
That is great that you and your wife have a plan. I'm sure most people don't even think about stuff like that so good job on that plan. Another thing you can do is occasionally practice your plan with your wife so it becomes second nature (You should do this with fire plans too).
This was absolutely awesome.
Not even that, but many of the items that they carry are subpar compared to similar products.
But yes, Kevin hit it on the nail above. Like I said, I used to do this for a few months. It is almost cult like. Those with weak minds/wills will easily fall for their tactics in an effort to be "free."
I'm not saying a properly size exhaust won't help. My exhaust is straight with mandrel bends and a muffler (Greddy EVO2). I'm just advocating the proper size. You can't just go put a 4" exhaust on a car with a 2.0l and a td04. You will lose TQ. Now if you had a built 2.5 and a GT35R or bigger and was running 30psi+, that's a different story.
It's not so much the loss or gain of back pressure as it is the vacuum of air and retension of heat that is the issue.
Thorne, I would bet you $20 bucks that you would make less torque with you rsetup than with a properly R&D'd exhaust. As Space Ghost mentioned, it had even been proven on Nabisco. Multiple times actually.
Oh Yea, FYI, boost != power.
Quixar bought Amway. It is offically called muli-level marketing. It's not so much a scam as it is a cult. I "almost" got hooked into this. I even was a "distributer" for a year. They show these people making millions and try to get you hyped up about it. I think they have meetings here in Columbus on Mondays as I recall.
They play on your emotions. They ask you what you would like to do if you were "free" and try to get you to go from there. Ask them why most still work a day job and 20 hours a week at this.
