If you want an autocross car, buy that MX-5. They are amazing autocross cars. And it will decimate all after you put about....$200 in it....or more...if we have to, overnight parts from Flyin' Miata

Read my mind, Simmons. A V8 FB or FC is incredibly cheap to build. The BOLT IN conversion kit is $200 from Granny's Speed Shop, and requires no welding or fitting of any kind. The only thing you really need to worry about is how to run the exhaust.
