  1. I am graduating in a couple weeks and can't be on my parents health insurance anymore. Can anyone recommend a company or a plan? I have no clue what I really need. Below are a few plans from Aetna.

  2. The class was me581. I was in a group of 4 and we had to choose to build and test either a compressed air engine or sterling engine. We choose the compressed air since it produced a lot more power. Originally we were gonna have a valve but the professor did not want us to do that. Thats how we came up with the piston being a valve.

The image on the left is at the top of the stroke. Air flows through the notch in the piston, then through the tubing and into the cylinder which drives the piston down. The middle image shows both intake and exhaust closed. The right image shows the exhaust open.

We had to make a few changes to get it to run. First we added weights to the flywheel. Next we moved the cylinder away from the shaft which made the exhaust hole activate sooner and the intake would not be open as long.

The piston and cylinder were made by the people that work at the machine shop in scott lab. We made the flywheel with cnc and a mill. We had a budget of $250 and came in just under that.

Now I need to find a job.

  3. My senior project was to build a compressed air engine. I thought it turned out pretty cool and wanted to share it. It has no valves. There is a notch in the piston that controls the flow of air to the cylinder.

It ran about 750 rpm at 90 psi.

  4. I'm thinking about buying a 1994 Mustang Gt convertible 5 spd. It has 130k, no leaks, all stock except k&n air filter, runs good, interior is fair. Only bad is paint is chipping on the rear bumper on the right and there is a small tear in the top by the passenger window. The guy wants 5000 but I think I can talk him down at least 500. Should I buy this thing?
  5. I am in the process of replacing the rear mounts and shackles on the rear leaf springs on my truck. Now a nice storm is here. The problem is removing the bolts that go through the leaf spring. They will not budge. Its a pain since they are in a rubber bushing. Any suggestions? Ive tried hitting it, spraying lube on it, using a flywheel type puller thing and nothing works.

im wondering if my 1991 ranger with the 2.3l 4cyl 5 speed will have enouhg power/traction to pull it outta the water. since it weights 780 dry weight.

I pull it with my 2.3l ranger and it does fine. Sometimes it will spin the tires a little coming up the ramp but Ive never got stuck.

  7. Girl I am seeing heard a tip to get around the system. Most people used the link provided in the email. She went to ticketmaster and typed in "Ohio State Football" put in her password, processed in 2 minutes.

This works. I waited like 5 minutes then I heard some guy saying he did that so I tried it. Took me only like 1 minute skipping the link from osu. I don't like the new system, it seems weird buying tickets before you say who you want to sit with.

  8. I don't remember the exact details of the coverage but I know if I wrecked it then it was covered. If it fell over from the wind then it wasn't covered. I learned my lesson after wrecking my first bike. I think I was paying like $170 for just liability then once I got the R6 it was worth it to get more coverage. No accidents or tickets probably helps a lot.
  9. I posted this a few years ago. Neat to see it again. I'm pretty sure she wasn't actually alone and was escorted by someone. Just got Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl and I didn't like it at first but I guess Ill give it another try.
