  1. What about a BMW? A nice 3 or 5 series have decent power and handle excellent. Or I've always wanted a nice G35. But you're kinda all over the place on cars, an MSP is definitely in the $8k or less range while the MKV Jetta 2.0t/Passat 2.0t are definitely in the teens, plus bigger/more luxurious for sure.
  2. Not sure you'll find a Mazda6 in that range that doesn't have 150k+ miles... But I 2nd the Protege5, I know a couple people that have them and they are fun to drive and have been maintenance free that I know of. I've got a cheap (sub $3k) 2000 ford contour that's reliable as all get out fs if interested...tons of maintenance done/receipts, etc...just figured i'd throw that out there.
  3. Are the prices comparable? I think that's important information needed to make a decision. If so I definitely choose the WRX.
  4. I think the mazdaspeed protege failed, it wasn't much power, like 170hp, and there werent a bunch made, and so i think it'd be a hard time finding stuff for it, and really making some power. Stock I heard they handle well, but i'd be sad about having a turbo4 that couldn't keep up with like a stock or chipped passat 2.0t. My buddy has an 08 6spd 2.0t passat, just chipped and that thing rolls out.
  5. nice lsmeshies...wanna sell/trade for my stockers?

    Today/Tonight

I waved at ya in the Viewt! Should've done a victory lap in that thing, lol.
  7. Had a great time and learned a lot! Improved 8 seconds from my first lap to my last too! Still slow I'm sure, but still a lot of fun.
  8. Uh...what's this? I was just going to bring my motorcycle helmet?
  9. I'll be there...just need a helmet right?
  10. wanna sell it? i got cash money...
  11. Oh, ok, you didn't mention the payment plan. Hmm, well hopefully they have a grace period like you said and you can just pay a late payment and be done with it. But I do know that most times if they offer you a payment plan initially and you screw it up/fail to pay on time, they will demand the balance in full immediately, and no longer offer to accept payments. Good luck.
  12. Sounds like you screwed up. If you didn't want this on your credit report you should've had a check for the $1000 in hand when you dropped off the envoy. Either way, if its on your credit report as in collections or not, a settlement is much worse than paying in full, as your report will notate which happened and future lenders will take that into consideration. I'd call first thing tomorrow and see if they have actually reported it to the credit bureaus yet or not, either way PAY IN FULL with documentation/receipt.
  13. Bump, couple people interested...
  14. loved the end, haha, good stuff man. one day i'll make it to one of these, looked like a blast!
  15. pretty sure turborust has a t5 taking up garage space that he'd probably unload durrty cheap, pm him, it can't hurt.
  16. A 3rd for Ochos Rios, stayed there about 5 years back. If you go definitely do the falls climb, and there are a couple other fun excursion type things for tourists. Good place but like most foreign tourist attractions you'll have lots of peddlers on the side trying to sell you anything for anything, but most aren't too pushy.
  17. lol, our 97 malibu has over 600hrs on it, looks damn good too as its always been stored inside since new.

    AC Help

AFAIK from experience, if it is low on freon, the compressor will not kick on to save itself. But that doesn't sound like your issue since you're seeing 80psi/full on the gauge.
  19. Doesn't look cherry fucking mint to me...and that's just from the pictures, who knows in person. But if its a deal, its a deal, doesn't matter condition. congrats jp, looks like fun
  20. That's not JUST a wheelie, that looked like he got all 4 wheels OFF the ground for a few seconds. crazy shit.

    What's it worth?

I had one like for years ago, think it was a 99 as well. Anyways, clean title, definitely under 10k miles, maybe 7k i think, and i bought and sold it for under $3k the same year, bought in spring, rode/put a couple thousand miles on over summer, sold in fall for close to what i paid for it. I'd offer $2k or less honestly, there just isn't a market for these.
