I have run a spool for 5 years. It eats tires. Other than that it's not that big of a deal. I went with the spool when the posi's and lockers were not holding up. I dont know if there is a decent 'high" HP option for the 9" with the higher (35-40) spline axles? run a spool for strength NOT money

I feel your pain on this one. We bought the house were in 4 years ago in july and ended up renting the house we moved out of (in Ontario close to the closed GM plant) to my inlaws. I cant imagine what I would lose If I had to sell these two houses.

If the cam is not advanced this could be a lot of your trouble. Is there advance ground in the cam ? If not you need to see if it was advanced during installation. I would look for 4-5* in this aplication. The power is coming in later than I would like on this setup. That cam duration looks a little mild to me, but i am sure it wll have great street manors. I doubt you are having an issue with valves floating as you would see the power dropping off early. Lastly dyno numbers dont mean shit, take the thing to the track and see what the trap speed is then calculate the power using the vehicle weight. You might find your getting all worked up over nothing.

Think of it this way: We recently spent $3,000,000,000 ($3 billion) on the cash for clunkers program. A clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year at 15 mpg uses 800 gallons of gas a year.
