Not a hater just realistic.
It's not realistic to think your going to run a low nine first time out with a new setup. And for the other vette to say he is going to trap more in the 1/8 than anyone else in the quarter is retarded. I believe that these new twin turbo setups you guys are building are the bomb. I believe that once there shaken out you both will destroy my car. But to think you can transform a car like you have and run a low nine first time out is not realistic.
Not hatin just statin.
Stop changing the car and start taking it to the track. Find a cheap trailer, fill your own nitrous bottles and drive the shit out of that thing this summer. Driver mod and shaking the current setup out will net you your biggest gains at this point.
My wife is a senior quality engineer at a manufacturing facility that makes semi axles for dana. Her Boss wants her to bring the axle in for a series of tests. He says the axle should have broken before it twisted that much. So I will be contacting Moser with a report in hand from a PHD in metalurgy.
I feel really lucky to have found the axle like that, instead of after I kissed the wall or another racer in the other lane!
I finally got off my butt and started taking the car apart today. Pulled the transmission and gutted the rear axle assembly. Two years ago I put a spool in because the detroit locker didnt engage as much of the axle splines as a spool did and the splines were showing wear. Here is what I found when I pulled the axles. This is the passenger side. There was a little twist on the drivers side but I needed a straight edge to see it. I would have thought the driver side would have taken more of the torque than the passenger due to the torque twist? Maybe this was a defective axle (incorect metal properties)

Cant wait to see the magic. I still have my car in pieces. Probably will have to push to make the first rental. Working for a living sucks but it beats the alternatives.
They had a product engineer at the cleveland auto show and I was asking him about the boost #'s. He said it runs 12psi but could max out at 20psi with a tune. It seems pretty potent for the money. I was truly suprised, I was checking it out basicaly as a joke.
I saw a yellow one at the cleveland auto show last night. I was looking under the hood thinking where is the supercharger. Then I saw the turbo in the back
Brain,
No need to mess with the dash. Gut the interior yourself its easy and will save you$
Rob,
I think you will find the fit on the wolfe is outstanding!. Should be an easy installation.
Brian It only takes a couple hours to strip the seats and carpet out. Strip it down then bolt the drivers seat back in and drive to the shop thats going to weld it in. As long as your not taking the dash out its not to bad a job. Only special tools are the big torx for the seat belts
