  1. I should also mention I have dogs so I'd rather use a tool than a chemical.
  2. How do you keep the grass controlled? I've been using a weed eater, but it goes through cord like no ones business going around that fence... I am just hoping there is a tool or chemical that can be put down that handles the grass better.... So what does everyone use? I saw this Easy Trim stuff, but I'm not too sure how well that would work.
  3. let me know when... I live in the country with a big yard which might make things easier and people not afraid to wreck into trees and such. I'm always down to do some flying.
  4. FUCK! I completely forgot about that... I wanted to go!
  5. I gotta ask, why did you post this in the pics and vid section though?
  6. nice! look into upgrading the batteries... and depending on the quad, brushless motors... if they are brushed motors... look into purchasing spares... my 262 I have 10 spare motors just in case... cause ya just never know...
  7. Phantom 1 is an older model... the 2 v3.0 had vast improvements and the 3 is even better.... it's amazing how far they have come... I don't know if I posted, but they advertise over a mile with streaming FPV
  8. it's a Phantom 3 4k... it uses lightbridge.. the controller I believe is 5.8 but that's just to control it, not stream video data.. http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-3#page1
  9. ya, the inspire is expensive.... there's some online reviews that the phantom 3 vision plus 4k isn't that much off from the Inspire.
  10. I believe it's being held at Microcenter as they are giving away a Phantom 3
  11. If you are looking for a cheap FPV quad, http://www.banggood.com sells one called H9D that's about 100 bucks that comes with FPV. It's not as good as the 262 as far as aftermarket support. Feel free to hit me up with any questions.
  12. I'm pretty heavily into it... what's your budget? If you are just learning, I'd suggest a WLToys V-262 quadcopter... it doesn't do FPV, but it does have a camera and can be purchased from Amazon for 69 dollars... it's a large drone that is easy to fly... see how you feel... as far as options, there's GPS enabled, non-GPS, FPV that's built into the remote, FPV that you use your cell with.. it depends on what you want... As far as what I currently fly, I have a V262, V393, and DJI Phantom 3 Vision+ 4k The Phantom is bad ass, but has a large price tag associated to it. Like I said, I'd get a cheaper one first and see if it's something you want to do. v262: http://www.amazon.com/Cyclone-Channel-Quadcopter-2-4Ghz-Ready/dp/9269803724/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1438716185&sr=8-2&keywords=v262 v393: http://www.banggood.com/V262-Upgraded-WLtoys-V393-6Axis-Brushless-RC-Qaudcopter-RTF-p-953495.html
  13. and battery life, retina, etc... just verifying that you were advertising the correct mode Great laptop BTW, I traded in my Air and got a Pro... I love it!
  14. OOMA, you can specificy your own area code... my sister lives in Belgium but uses Ooma and it's a local call for me.
  15. I would suggest your best route is in an airplane... not to sound like an asshole but that drive sucks.
  16. so much want, so little money!
  17. our electric bill has gone up about 100 a month and that's including running the hot tub.
  18. walmart pools do have pumps, but I'd imaging they are junk considering the cost.... My bug issue is no better or worse since getting a pool... we do seem to see alot more june bugs floating dead in the water though.
  19. not a fan of the solar cover... we would end up with grass clippings all over it, you have to keep it in the shade when not covering the pool or the little air things will pop, and it didn't really warm the water much... now the solar cover stays rolled up in the garage out back.
  20. my neighbors have said similar things about shooting and calling the cops until their children all saw how cool they were and now one neighbor has actually purchased one... the cheap ones have such crappy cameras (if a camera at all) that good luck even getting a decent shot, the expensive ones, honestly, I spend more time seeing how high I can fly mine and take videos of the sky or try to chase down birds with my first person view... trust me, we aren't interested in looking in your windows... now if you have a hot 18 year old daughter that likes to sunbathe nekkie in the back yard.... well.... all bets are off
  21. not weekly maintenance... DAILY... the water temp assuming you aren't in the shade should be similar temps as a lake... just keep in mind a lake is a larger body of water and will hold heat better.... the pool will cool quicker on multiple cloudy cool days.... to put in perspective... with some of our crazy weather, our pool FINALLY just got over 80 degrees
  22. if they were recording him, it would have been live streamed to their cell phone so they have proof he did it, and you bet your ass I'd make sure you replaced mine if you shot it... so I have a feeling they saw him and knew he did it. No idea why they were recording him though... multiple sides to a story that we won't know from an article.
