  1. because Opening you are in the garage and close to the opener, when you close you are farther away from the antenna and the remote battery didn't have enough power to transmit the signal that far? Just a guess...
  2. Glad it helped! I accept tips in the form of rides *cough drive cough* in the Lamborghini As far as extending the antenna, I have no need to... works great as is... I don't want to be able to open the door down the street.

    Garage Lift

    oh ya, but expensive
  4. Good news, after 2 days, everything is working as it is supposed to. Guess the LED bulbs really do cause an issue.
  5. I spray lube on it once a month.... after the spring broke after only being 3 years old, the tech recommended keeping everything lubed well so that's one thing I always stay on top of.
  6. I looked tonight and it had LED bulbs in it... I replaced them with regular bulbs and we'll see if the issue continues or not... I have high hopes that it's something as silly as a light bulb. I have a hard time with it being gears since it goes up and down no problem with the house button but remotes cause an issue...
  7. I found something online talking about the bulbs in the garage door opener can cause the problem (completely weird) http://www.doityourself.com/forum/garages-garage-door-openers-work-shops-sheds-breezeways-carports/398711-cant-close-garage-door-remote.html#b I'll try that tonight and see if it works or not I guess....
  8. there's no battery as they are home link devices. I have tried the remotes that it came with and have tried swapping out the batteries... it did not help.
  9. I have a Craftsman Garage door opener. It is about 4 years old. for the past month or so, when opening the door it opens fine, but when closing it, half the time, you have to hit the remote 5 or 6 times before it will close. If I use the button by the house it works fine. At first I was thinking the sensors just weren't aligned right but they are fine and the lights stay lit and flash when something crosses in front of it. Any idea what it could be? It is with all remotes including the key pad.

    Garage Lift

I'm looking for a 4 post system... I'm thinking storage plus working on the car (minus brakes and tire work) What is the most affordable lift?
  12. regardless of miles, this car is 11 years old and in Ohio... people have a reason to be concerned about maintenance and repairs...
  13. I have that exact one in my theater room, master bedroom, and great room... works great in all 3 rooms and never had an issue.
  14. looks like your questions are answered, so I gotta ask, why get a beefy laptop? Especially a model that doesn't have a docking station option... I never understood why people have crazy laptops when you want to use a desktop with multiple monitors, etc...
  15. Serious question, are those stains on the seats and doors or did you not wipe it off? Also, what motor is in it?
  16. who's the most reasonably priced... money is tight as I'm sure it is for everyone.
  17. ok, what's the new CR shop of choice? I have a '96 camaro 3.8 that needs a bit of work done and I'm just too busy with my work schedule to spend the time under the hood doing it all...
  18. get a used surface pro... you can get a 1st generation for around that price.. and you will have an i5 processor, etc....
  19. Also check all the seals around the garage door including the ground... you can insulate all day long, but if there are open seals where wind can blow into the garage, you won't do diddly squat.... My house is 4 years old and I do have an insulated garage door as well as ALL walls of my garage are insulated... It was still cold as balls out there, I checked the seals last year and adjusted as needed and now the garage stays around 50'ish even on the coldest nights and you can't feel any bitter cold in the house.
  20. Crosby and Post 614-398-8990... great lawyers!
  21. CL post deleted by author so my guess is that it's sold.
